RE: GPS System

Just get a smart phone and you can have several gadgets in one and save money. I just got an HTC Thunderbolt and it has voice turn by turn directions, I can call on it, text on it, if the other person has a front facing camera you can talk face to face. I have an app on it called Campground Finder, I downloaded Gasbuddy and I bet there are a lot more apps to use in your travels. DH and I spent about five hundred dollars on a Garmin 3920t a couple of years ago and the nav system on my Thunderbolt gives it a run for its money. Just a thought.

RE: 5vr is too wide!

Last fall as DH backing into the driveway.. Let me start this just a tad earlier. A few days before this DH had been worried about some tree limbs overhanging the driveway, so he cut them back. He left some pretty large parts sticking out... And I asked, do you think some of those big ones should be cut back some more? In a nutshell ... he said no. Anyhoo, a few days later coming home from taking the MH for a tune up, he backed in and ran one of those "They are fine you let me worry about them" not well-lopped off tree limbs right thru the back of our Mountainaire and into our bedroom closet. This occured just two nights before a three week trip to the Grand Canyon. Packing tape over the hole let us make the trip, a good fiberglass man and hefty check from our insurance man made it look like new again. Next time I guess he will wait til his spotter gets in place.

RE: Grand Canyon RV Park

Just outside the south rim gate is a town called Tusayan and there's an RV park there called Grand Canyon Camper Village. A little on the expensive side, but just five minutes from the south rim entrance.
