RE: Where do full-timers spend the summer?

Howdy!
We done several places during the summer months. New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI. Alaska. Oregon and Washington coast. Last year we were on the Great lakes in Michigan and Wisconsin. We lived and worked in the Texas heat all our life and now we don't have to. The nice thing about fulltiming is if you don't like were you are you can move and weather can have a baring in location choice.

RE: New Orleans to The Woodlands TX

Howdy!
I would suggest staying out of the high traffic times early morning and evening. Drive through using 610 loop. As for a RV park look at this one Rayford Crossing RV Park

RE: Allstays camp & RV App

Howdy!
I purchased the Allstays RV app a couple of days ago. They charged my credit card but I have been unable to download the app. I get no response for e-mails sent to them and they do not return phone call. I will be in contact with the credit card company to cancel the charge.

I agree. We we're there recently for a week during Sand Fest. Pioneer RV resort is the best Port A has to offer.

RE: AVOID Sunshine Key RV Resort FL -(by Key West)

Howdy!
Thanks very much for this information regarding Sunshine Key RV Park. We are thinking about spending the summer in Florida. Sunshine Key was on our list for longterm stay a couple of weeks or more using our Thousands Trails membership discount. My question is we like the State parks in the Keys but how hard is it to get into them.

X2 on the Fumoto Valve. I've had one on our C5500 Chevorlet Kodiak form the first oil change. Never been a problem and makes for easy oil changes.

RE: Place to buy RV furniture

We've been to Lambrights, too. Here's some examples of their furniture line.
clicky
For comfort, we prefer residential furniture as well. Lazyboy mostly since it's easy to take apart to move in or out narrow doors.
Hitchup, thanks I did not know they had a website. I know when we visited their store they did not have a phone we could not call and check on the furniture we ordered. They also advised us they did not have a website. In fact they didn't even have a cash register, so all purchases are cash or check only.

RE: Place to buy RV furniture

Howdy!
Last year we stopped in Shipshewanna, IN and went to "Lambbrights Custom RV furniture". They will custom make RV furniture to fit your RV and for a good price also. We picked out the material and they made a love seat recliner, two chair recliners and also three wooden end tables in two days. We pulled our 5er to the store and they unloaded our old furniture and loaded the new. They give the old furniture to the Amish community. Nice folks to deal with, customers service and quality of the furniture is absolutely great.
Your not going to find them online or in the phone book they're Amish. You will have to go to them, but I believe it will be worth it in your travels.

RE: Goodyear Tires AGAIN Gone Bad

If GY is so good about paying damage claims, makes you wonder how much of what you pay for each tire goes into their legal "slush fund" to cover these claims. I know that, before the product liability laws on general aviation aircraft were changed to limit liability to 19 years, Beechcraft's basic cost breakdown on GAA planes was 25% airframe/engines, 50% avionics and 25% to cover product liability issues.
Lyle
Lyle, I've paid alot more for Michelin tires then I have for Goodyear. When I had tires separate on Michelin tires they would not even take a claim stating I have ran the tire with low pressure. I advised them I use a TPMS. They next advised me I must have hit a road hazzard, how would they know if they don't even look at the tire. Thanks but I will continue to buy Goodyear because as I stated before the stand behind their product.

RE: Goodyear Tires AGAIN Gone Bad

Howdy!
Tire dealers don't warranty tires Goodyear(GY)does. My first 5er had GY tires and three out of four had tread separation. The tire dealer did nothing for us. When I took the 5er in for a repair estimate from the tire damage they the RV dealer was the one that advised me GY would pay for the damages if I had the tires. Well I contacted the tire dealer and he still had the tires, he even assisted me in filing the claim with GY. I have had four different claims with GY regarding tire damage involving G614 tires the last one was over $8,000.00 damages and tire replacement. You must have the tire and it will be inspected by GY, but I have never been denied a claim and always paid for all damages and even replacement of all tires. We have now upgraded our tires and wheel to 17.5 rims and G114 tires. Yes Goodyear G114 because they are speed rated at 75 mph even though we don't drive the fast, and also GY stands behind their tires. I would suggest spending the extra money and upgrading to 17.5 tires.

RE: Thetford Smarttote

Howdy!
Trying to control the waste flow with a three inch connection GOOD LUCK! We have a Barker portable waste tank and use a portable mascerator pump to fill it. I can control the flow and also place the tank in the back of our TV instead of dragging it. Our Barker tank has a side waste dump gate so it's easy to empty the tank at the dump station.

I use an app called Co-Polit Live USA cost about $5.00 no need for your data connection. I used it last year traveling in the UP. It also has a RV setting in the app for height up to 13 feet.

I believe what you referring to are the shackles that broke. I would also recommend replacing them with "Wet bolt kit" which are heavier, brass bushing and have grease fitting. Well worth the extra money.
