RE: Cherrystone Family Camping Resort

oh boy here we go again. Some people hate Cherrystone because it is probably mor resort then campground. When you have a campground with 700 sites you got to expect the 2 pools and water park (which are gigantic) are going to have people in them. The sites are pretty tight but I dont think any tighter then any other fancy private campgrounds. That being said, we love the place!!! Right on the bay, great entertainment and activities. If you want to go to a beach, try Sunset Beach behind the sunset hotel. It is still the bay not the ocean but it is beatiful and there is also a clam bar.

RE: Renting an RV, what should I bring ?

We rented a class C to tour Yellowstone a couple of years ago. I found that it was cheaper to go to Wally World and buy equipment then "renting it" from the Rental place. We paid @ $6.00 for camp chairs and they wanted that much per week to rent them. They same with the cook set, just picked up a cheap one. At the end of our 2 weeks we gave all the stuff to people that had their own campers in the campground we were in the last night. (someone even sent me a nice bottle of cognac for all the stuff we gave him"

RE: Lint as kindling

You have a good point hikenhunter. As a Boy Scout leader, it used to be taught to use dryer lint. It has now been removed fro the Scout handbook because of the toxic fumes.

atwood pleasant suprise

Got a atwood electric jack for fathers day. Put it on the trailer Saturday in less then an hour and it works great. While doing the homework on what to buy, I read (on this site)that if the battery dies you might have to take off the propane tanks to use the hand crank. I looked at my trailer and said this is going to be a problem, the jack is right up against the tank cover. Then when I open the box i found that the manual jack is in the front of the unit. I guess this must be a new modification, maybe the company heard the complaints. If so cool.
