RE: Traveling with pets

Many parks have type and size restrictions on dogs in the campground. It is not uncommon to see weight limits of 20lbs. Since this is part of the insurance restriction in many private campgrounds it will probably be enforced. Also many parks have a restriction on the number of dogs. Make sure you have a clear understanding of the rules of the park before you head out on vacation.
Happy Trails.
I have yet to run into size restrictions, heck our 8 week old puppy is over 20 lbs :W!! but yes we have seen a limit of only 2 dogs on a site though :(

RE: Our Puppies

Note:
I removed the "offending" link from the op's post.
Too bad, they are pretty dogs.
Perhaps the op could post some pictures from other than that link.

I'm very sorry if I have offended anyone with the original link, I have now post the pics individually without the website page.
We own Teeka, the mother of these puppies, we do not own the puppies and make no profit with the sale of the puppies. This was an agreement we made with the breeder, they pay all cost we endure with the breeding and raising of the puppies.
Again as I have said before, I just wanted to share the pictures of the puppies we are very proud of.

RE: Our Puppies

This post was in no way put up as an ad, the link to the pictures on the website just seemed easier than posting individual pics of the 9 puppies. We are very proud of our Teeka's first litter and I was just wanting to share them with everyone.

RE: Our Puppies

Thanks everyone, fortunately so far most of them are staying fairly local (within about 3 hrs drive) then 2 are going farther, with one off to Alberta and one to Kentucky. We only have 2 left to find homes for.

RE: Parking Questions

I think it is definately doable, if I was to do this I would leave the flower planter out as far as the eve of the house. It is much easier to see your tires in the mirrors while they are adjusted normally then to see up at the top side of the trailer.
With my previous house I had a simular situation other than mine was a tree about 40'directly ahead of the parking destination. I had to come in on a 45 deg, squeeze it around the corner of the garage and then just miss the tree with my front bumper of my truck while I brought it back straight. With patience and practice many situations can be overcome, and to me it looks like you should be alright.

RE: King Pin Lock

Where is all the theft happening? I want to drop my 5'er there.Insurance will pay more than I can get for trade in.:B Plus I can keep the televisions.
It's not just the problem of replacing the trailer ...... with my luck it would be stolen just before a planned trip leaving us hanging!

RE: Finished my pin box bike rack

I like the idea of the pinbox receivers but don't think it will work with my short bed truck, I have never measured and will need to do so next time I am hooked up to the 5er.
I use a pin box bike rack with my short box, I usually only carry 2 bikes but have carried 3 without problems

RE: Hauling kayaks with 5th wheel

I am also still trying to find a way to stop the Goalpost from swaying. It doesn't sway much at all but I'd like to remove any sway completely, as it can be distracting from time to time, although not so much where it's any sort of issue.
Geodude, first off I was wondering what reciever you have on the front of the Super Duty? As far as the goal post swaying, maybe try installing a lock down bolt to take out the movement. Here is what I did on my King Pin bike rack mount and it takes all the movement away.

RE: Hauling kayaks with 5th wheel

Hey Gregory,
I am looking at doing the same but unfortunately to install a front reciever hitch on my Super Duty I have to remove my fog lights (not really an option I want to consider)So I subscribed to your forum here hoping to gather info I can use as well. I might try just having dual racks on the roof and good tie-downs front and rear as well as sideways over the kayaks.

RE: Hitching and Unhitching By Yourself

I have a crew cab with tool box so I can't see my fifth hitch from the drivers seat and I always do it myself. I back up to the trailer then get out and check the height and how it's lined up then back into the pin. It's really fairly easy to do and way easier than hooking up a bumper hitch!!

RE: Is this too Close???

I have the same type of set up and have had no problems. My bike rack is tucked closer to the nose cone of the trailer but I think you should be fine. Your bikes sit alot norrower than the front of the 5'er so it looks close when sitting straight but they actually don't get that much closer to the cab when turning. With mine the 5'er could contact the cab and not bother the bikes (no I didn't just sayin) Hope it works for you as it is so nice having the bikes where you can see them and they ride so smooth up there.
