RE: Toy Hauler for golf cart or other options??

I have a Keystone Fuzion 302 toy hauler and I use it for a lifted golf cart.
Fits perfectly. Plus the garage has two electric queen size beds for the kids. I have the sliding glass doors so the kids can have their own area. Works excellent for a cart. Good Luck to you.

Fuzion graphics

I emailed Keystone about getting replacement graphics for my 08' Fuzion 302. Just a couple of them are peeling. They replied quickly and told me my dealer can order them for me. Anyone have an idea of what they cost? I really only need the one side.

KZ Inferno

Can anyone provide feedback on KZ, specifically the Inferno?
Good, bad, warranty, service, quality, etc..
I have a family member looking at the new 3710T model.
We don't see many inferno's on the east coast.
Any input is appreciated.

RE: Trailer Tires (again)

Yeah, the search feature on this web is about as worthless as ..... lets just say not much.
Your present ST235/80-16 E tires are rated at 3420 lbs. The LT235/85-16 E is rated at 3042 lbs.
According to Keystone '07 challenger website the 34saq has a 11350 shipping weight less 2035 lb hitch = 9300 lbs on the axles.
Four LT235/85-16 E will be 12168 lbs.
If your trailer has 6k axles or smaller axles and under 12000 actual scaled weight on the axles your good to go with the LT such as the XPS Ribs or Bridgestone R250 or Firestone Transforce HT or BFG Commercial HT or Uniroyal HD-H or Goodyear Wrangler HT or any LT the dealer/manufacture recommends for using on a hevy trailer.
The Michelin Ribs and Bridgestone R250 are a all steel ply carcass commercial grade tire. Both are at the top of the class on heavy trailers.
Errr...A hypothetical pops into mind....How come a recommendation of 1512# less tire load capacity than the vehicle manufacturer provided?????
FastEagle
Errr...Your assuming the recommeded ST tire will actually support 3420 lbs without blowing out???

RE: Trailer Tires (again)

Why do you want to waste your money on junk ST tires? Get a good quality LT tire instead and go camping.
Agreed X2:)

5er Landing gear pull pins

Do the pull pins on the landing gear legs have to be replaced?
They support alot of weight over time and I was wondering do they become weak or break? Never seen it happen but was just wondering.

RE: 'In-Bed' 7 way connector

I perfer to install one in the bed. It's a easy install with the adapter, drill, hole saw and a few screws. Leaving the one in the bummper, and new in bed.

X2..etrailer sells a "T" adapter that is plug and play. No cutting of wires and you can retain the use of your bumper plug in addition to having the in bed plug.

RE: Bed-saver

This argument comes up quite frequently, and it always amazes me that so few people get the idea. I have the Curt Q5 with Bed Saver attached. I've never dropped a trailer. I do a pull test when hitching. I also visually check the hitch and pin connection each time I return to the rig after pit stops and after overnight stays when I remain hitched. I also do a complete walk-around at those times.
I've listened to the smug sounding perfect beings who think they are immune from making mistakes or becoming forgetful, and who go so far as to criticize me for buying something with my own money.
I still have the Bed Saver and will fight anyone who tries to take it away from me. :)
X2....

RE: On Fuzion 302 where is water heater bypass for winterizing?

Yes, the 08' 302 has the bypass installed from factory. I have the same year and model. The bypass is located behind the water heater. It's the only valve on the whole system. You must remove the black cover inside the basement storge compartment to access the valve on the back of the water heater. Should be two screws.
PM me if you have any questions on winterizing your Fuzion. I have done mine every year with no issues. Don't forget the outside shower and the washer hook up in the garage.

Fuzion owners

For Fuzion owners, have you ever power washed the floor inside of your garage. The floor has the rubber looking material, so I was thinking it might be okay? Any advise?

RE: Myrtle Beach Camping, SC

38 to 501 to 544 will take you right to Ocean Lakes. Check out our pics.
We like Ocean Lakes. They are all pull thru sites, alot with concrete pads. WES 20,30 and 50 amp, Cable TV and phone line. They now have free WiFi throughout the CG. Ocean Lakes is huge. We like the northern sections ocean front because the dunes are not high and you can see the beach right from your site. Nice pools, nice store and plenty to do right at the CG. You can buy discount tickets for alot of MB attractions right at the CG.
There are so many CG's to choose from. You will get pros and cons about most of them here.
X2 Good advise on the route and the campground..

RE: Golf carts

I don't understand the golf cart thing.Sure if there are places to go in a campground or if one is disabled that a golf cart can be a useful thing to have. But I've been to several cg's that have are just cg's and grown adults just ride around and around. One guy runs his dogs using a golf cart, others do ride their kids/grandkids around to entertain them which is perhaps OK. But to just ride ? One perfectly fit couple drove their cart down a walking trail. Seems silly.
To each his own. Some people think we're all stupid for not getting a hotel room. :)
Many people buy motorcycles, ATV's, bicycles, etc..Just to ride..
Why not a golf cart?

RE: Golf carts

If it wasn't for Fort Wilderness, Willow Tree, and Ocean Lakes, we'd probably sell ours. But we enjoy it so much at these campgrounds, we can't part with it.

X2..We take our cart everywhere that allows them. Ocean lakes is the best.

RE: Just not satisfied with Ocean Lakes

I love love love ocean lakes. More that won't book means I get a spot :)
hey we all have preferences. I happen to love the excitement at OL
and I do see security checking golf carts etc for young drivers. pulling the beer bottles out of drivers hands cause they show in full sight, and in fact I am in that line of slapping hands along the front road LOL --I fit right into this group.
in all my years going, and sometimes 2-3 times in summer, I never had anyone pass thru our site just walking.
in fact, we only meet nice people.
I don't know, I swear some campers just seem to attract all the bad stuff that happens camping LOL --so far OL has been tons of fun and no misery for us!
but what one likes, another doesn't...so there are cgs to fit everyone.
X2.. My family goes to OL every year. We can't wait.
We never had an issue in the 9 years we have been staying there.
The simple fact that the campground is full and you sometimes have to book well in advance, tells you it aint all bad.
I understand it's not for everyone, but they do a good job of managing the place based on the size and populatuion.
Congrats on 40 years OL !!

Flamingo Lake RV Resort in Jacksonville FL is great in March.
They do allow you to bring your cart.
It's nice to ride around the lake.
