RE: artichokes

Chop a bit off the top and and bit off the stem. I also like to use this Amco Artichoke Steaming Stand, drizzle with lemon and garlic powder and steam for 45 minutes.
Husband likes mayo and I prefer a dip made of butter, lemon, dill & marjoram.

RE: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos

Found this CGear Mat developed for the Australian govt to keep under helicopters to resist sand kicking back. The reviews on Amazon were pretty good, but what really sold me was the video (included in the link below). Only problem, we haven't had a chance to use it.

How well does it work if there is water that comes in contact with it? I'd be willing to bet the unique sand free properties are thrown out the window. Most all places I go where there is sand usually involves being wet in some form.
I would agree the mat looks very intriguing just that I do not think it would would for me even though I would like for something like that to work. I just end up using my outdoor shower to wash feet off, towel dry and no shoes inside coach.
I did read a review on Amazon where someone said that it didn't work well with wet sand. We got the 10x10 mat in green & blue...I'll let you guys know how it works once we use it.

RE: What kind of boat could I fit inside my toyhauler?

Those Porta-Botes are so cool.
We spent this last weekend in Havasu and saw a bunch of different boats. Now we are wishing we had another truck to tow a boat separately. We would like to fit ourselves and our dog and possibly a child or two or three. Not sure if a boat like that could fit inside the TH.
We would need a smaller engine to visit some of the smallish lakes in Flagstaff area. We may be looking at buying two boats...who knows!
Thanks for your help!

RE: What kind of boat could I fit inside my toyhauler?

Yeah of course weight would be a concern. I don't remember our numbers, but I know our buggy weighs about 1200lbs and we usually travel full of water because we boondock and we are within our numbers. If it's a bigger boat we'll definitely stick it on a scale before we buy.
Yeah, it doesn't matter if it's on a trailer if it's light enough for us to manuever.
Dr. Baker, thanks so much for that link, very helpful! Will show the hubs when he gets home from work.
Thank you so much for the ideas. We've just started mulling around the idea and you all have been very helpful!

RE: What kind of boat could I fit inside my toyhauler?

I think DH would poop his pants if he had to double tow. I think it's legal here in AZ, but not something we would be willing to try.
Thanks for the responses...just looking for some direction in our Craigslist search.

What kind of boat could I fit inside my toyhauler?

We have 14'7" until the first cabinet and 19' to the stairs. We were thinking about an old Bass Tracker...my husband thinks that the smallest they made was a 16 footer which could possibly fit, but not with the trailer hitch and the motor in the rear.
Just wanted to see if anybody else has been able to fit a small fishing boat inside their toy hauler and if so, what kind of boat is it?

RE: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???

Well it was yesterday, but we got our jack knife sofas back from the upholsterer and installed them. Also put floor length curtain from Ikea to give the rear pull down bed some privacy.

Horrible, have you left that location yet? Maybe you're close to their den? Would like to know what you do to get rid of them. Good luck.
