RE: Guilford, Ct and Walmart layover

We may have slept(?) at 5 Wal*Marts in 10 years, good luck finding the manager. Just go the to customer service desk, they can speak for him/her. They were happy to have us.

ib1516 has been a long time member here, I would not count him as a troll.

RE: RV renting for 30 this summer

Most rental companies will bust you on the mileage driven as well as the per day fees. I agree with the 'tuna, it would be cheaper to buy one and then resell.

RE: Flat tire!

Looks like a VW or other Euro car lug nut. Maybe something off of some heavy equipment, forklift maybe. They are always fun to try to line up as there is no stud for the wheel to rest on. The nut and the stud are one unit.

RE: Tioga 31M: Reset 4 the battery disconnect switch, where?

Let's attack this from a different perspective. What is wrong, or what are you trying to correct?

RE: Going from F250 to F350 - would you?

One more thing if I may. If your 99 is an early version, the 2000 will have more power. There are several differences between the early and late 99 thru the end of the run in early 03 for the 7.3. Front brake parts and hubs for one, as well as the turbo and the associated parts for the turbo. I can speak from experience about the early model front hubs and rotors, they are much more expensive. If you buy the dually and plan on keeping it for a while, mods are cheaper and more available.

Do it and don't look back. You will be amazed at the dually difference.

RE: Myrtle Beach SC

OL is not voted the top of the heap repeatedly without reason. Awesone group of people. I always tell the story of going back after a ten year gap and they still had my phone, address, make of car, make of trailer, etc. My Doctor can't keep anything on file for ten minutes, always some garbage about a new computer system. :)

RE: Travel trailer slide

Will it move manually so that you can see the whole mechanism? Might be something as easy as a shear pin that needs replacing.

RE: TPMS on a boat trailer?

I take mine off for salt water. Around here that is everything wet. I only use them on trips. 950 worry free miles last year to Carolina Beach and back, stress free. I use TSE's set up.

RE: Fredricksburg Va. /Virginia Beach

The Civil War battlefields around Fredericksburg are worth seeing. If I am assuming right by your Williamsburg visit that history is what you are looking for, you will not be disappointed. Appomattox may be of interest also. Bull Run and Manassas are not that far away either, and you can get there without tempting fate by going anywhere near DC.

RE: Waited WAY too long - Now what

Fingernails can pop them off also, then some of the above products to remove the residue. Cuts down on the smear amount.

RE: So we're sitting here at Assateague National Seashore

They will steal them when you ARE looking. When they get out on the beach they know what a cooler is, best to just get out of the way. We saw somebody cited for trying to push a pony away from their lunch. We have also seen one do something that required throwing away the blanket when he was done LOL.

RE: Never had this happen before

That happened to us also. Wierdly, only 2 of the 3 did it and the third one is still kicking 4 years later. We did have vent covers so no harm done, but it could have been a disaster with as much rain as we had this weekend.

RE: Old Fort, NC to Boone, NC

Will be beautiful this time of year, enjoy. We had some company VW trucks back in the '80s with the 1.5 diesel, I can assure you that they didn't like that hill. :)

RE: Stanley Waterproof Toolbox as Sealed Battery box...

Our local vendors don't carry a group 27 specific battery box. They want to lump them together with a 31 size which is way too big. I'll look at that tool box, thanks.

RE: Watch that lie o meter....

Like any other gauge, we need to look for deviations from normal. Doesn't matter in general what the norm is but like the OP stated, why is it different all of a sudden? He should be commended for noticing.
