RE: Console table on doghouse

I have a snack tray similare to whate exec showed its a catch all but does keep coffee and cold drinks in place. I velcro-ed a small basket on the dog house to put stuff in, wallet sunglasses what ever. The only problem is my big feet send it flying sometimes when I get up. Maybe you could install a small table on a pedastal if that is what you are thinking of. then it could be removed and stored as well. I though most motor homes came with a nice cabinet draws etc in the front.

RE: Banks PowerPack Worth the money ?

I have a banks exhaust on a1997 allegro bus 33' 454 It came on the rig when I purchased it. Its still a big heavy rig going down the road and slow up the hills. I can't tell if the banks is an improvement or not since I cannot compare it with out it being on there, but I wouldn't spend that kind of money for an exhaust just to spend it. Now if the stock manifollds were cracked or leaking then I would compare the banks to the cost of repairs to stock exhaust and then decide. I am sure the engine breathes better but my gas milage is 6-8.5 mpgs. And to make horsepower you have to burn fuel! So if you add an exhaust and your foot gets heavy you will not gain noticeable mpgs. On a motor home I doubt you see a noticeable gain anyway if you were able to see a couple of tenths gain in mileage consider yourself lucky.

RE: Oil Changes

Check it and run it I say. No use wasting resourses. I say you didn,t drive it enough on your short warm up trips, but thats just my opinion. But I would definatley take a trip if all fluid levels are good . and the fluid colors look good to you.

RE: 454 gasser will not start

ok I received a phone call from the chevy dealer today , they said the ignition switch had gone out. I know it was turning over but I don't know what all is in the switch .Any way they say it is fixed. Seems to be common he said they had the same thing happen last week. Also my greatful appreciation to coach net. They responded to our call put a technition on the phone we talked about what was happening they dispached a wrecker capable of towing a 33' motorhome, found a chevy dealer and talked with them about repairing the rv all this on a saturday morning. I am real happy with my first use of coach net road service.

454 gasser will not start

have a 1996 chevy chassis with a 454 engine ran coach for about 2 hours ,not any sign of problems. no miss fire no stumble from fuel problem or fuel starvation nothing. made a stop turned motor off. came back to start up and leave and engine will not fire. Battery strong engine turns over fine at normal pace but does not attempt to fire not even once. let engine cool off . Same affect not even a hit still strong battery and normal pace of starter. Ignitions dead as a door nail . Any clues what to check. this is a 1997 allegro bus with chevy chassis owners manual says its a 1996 chassis fuel injected electronic ignition. It has ob diagnostic plug but i do not have a code reader. I have had it towed to a chevy dealer and waiting till monday to see what they say just looking for some insight before then.

RE: Texas Propane

When you get to Houston are you going Hwy 59 or Hwy 35 to Padre . In League City there is a propane place right off I45 Called BayGas look them up on the internet. I go there to get propane and my rig is 33' its a little tricky getting in but not bad. If pulling a toad it may be a little close but doable. The road they are on is Calder. I find there prices resonable.

RE: Zip Tie Maintenance

Ok ,Why did you have to do this ? Sounds like a quality control issue with the moho builder. Just goes to show you what a bundle of half azz quality is being done at these Rv manufacturing company's, do you have a zip tie for that? I am sure mine needs more than just a zip tie.

RE: Class A driving school

I found that looking in the mirrors helps me keep the rv centered in the lane so looking where I have been keeps me where I am going. Right turns take at least a lane and a half so you do not drag the right rear into something or run over the curb, two lanes if you can get it. Back up camera and a person who gets out and spots you when backing or in tight places. The first time I drove mine was in rush hour traffic in houston, I did have a friend along that owned a class and I didn't scare her to death, and she is an exellent driver. I would rather her drive than her husband. Also when you make right turns watch the left rear so you do not swing out and hit cars that are in the left lane beside you, the draggon tail effect. A little practice and you will do fine. Also watch your hight and width, picture a giant box in your mind going down the road that has to be clear of all obstuctions, tree limbs on right side that can stick out into roadway that you wouldn't think of in a car, overhead covers at gas stations etc.

RE: allegro bus

Aren't all the new Tiffins built on a Tiffin designed chassis now? I am not sure what year the change was done but just recently. And yes the Allegro Bus is just a model produced by Tiffin.I own one , a gasser .

RE: key west golf cart or not?

Where you rent scooters you can rent some type of golf cart as well I wouldnt call it a golf cart but along those lines, And you still have to find as place to park the thing, or just take a cab they are everywhere. Dang Just got back from the keys in September, wish I was already going again.

You may have interferance from the running lights shining in the camera at night. My new camera mounting instructions suggested mounting below the running lights.
