RE: It's been a year since .....

love the layout of mine, its a 5500 chevy duramax diesel don't know what mileage it gets, only used it to go to disney 7 times in the past 10 months. it also made one trip to Indiana but that was on Forest River and the driver never told me what it cost for fuel.. About to spend the month of june in it at Disney to see if we don't kill each other.

RE: It's been a year since .....

A year ago we put our house on the market and moved into the Endura. The house sold in September. Now we fulltime. Anyone else fulltiming in their Super C? We have 2 dogs and 2 cats traveling with us. Doing the western USA this year and the east in 2013. After that unsure. Had to replace the mother board for the hot water heater in Tx., fix window shade strings and changed the steps magnet switch in Az.and a water leak up front over the cab in Calif. Not too bad I don't think. Haven't seen many Super Cs out here. Later. Jeff just curious, do you find the Endura cramped at all, I have a 2011 36' ridgeview with the same layout as your endura but with 3 slides and we are considering giving up the house but feel it may be too small.

RE: Do CW RV store web sites work for you?

Oldedit, who lit your fuse today? We all get it, you don't like Camping World. But I don't think you are going to change them overnight posting multiple threads on these forums. Maybe you should move on to something a little more obtainable, like world peace. CW lit my fuse. It has stuff I may buy, services I may use and questions I'd like to have answered. Why are you so offended by an honest discussion about an important industry player? Do you just not like strategy discussions, or are you in some way linked to someone who works for CW? When people get defensive, beware. btw. I owned a message board for years. When new members joined, old-timers who felt a strong ownership of the board sometimes got upset with questions about the board and me. I always welcomed the newcomers and answered their questions as best I could. Then folks settled down and moved on. not being defensive but questioning the motives behind a member who joins and in 24 hours posts nothing other than how he thinks CW can be improved, why not just PM Marcus with all of your concerns and suggestions, he will get back to you, or you could just buy your own string of dealerships and run them the way you would like. However I am sure people will post that they don't like the way your dealerships operate either. good luck with your study, please post it when your done.

RE: New Camping World in Winter Garden

Marcus is correct, I was contacted yesterday by my salesman and offered the best deal I have ever received on trading my present motor home , now if I can convince my wife all will be right with the world, thanks Marcus.

RE: New Camping World in Winter Garden

Marcus, returned to the Winter Garden store on Monday the 14th was greeted promptly and by 1100 hrs had our Rv picked, the salesman was professional and very knowledgeable , all in all it was a much better experience than our previous visits, unfortunately we were unable to come to terms on the Motor home but it had nothing to do with the staff, thanks for your help and wish you continued success with your new store.

RE: so what rv has the better construction

Winnebago , if my choice is between coachmen and winnebago and , have looked at a lot of Rv's in the past few years and winnebago seems to have the right formula for a quality unit at a price that is within the range of lessor RV's, that and I really don't care for coachmens parent company, Forest River.

RE: New Camping World in Winter Garden

returned to winter garden today, better experience than the last time, arrived walked around the entire lot, went in 6 motorhomes and not one person noticed us. It was kind of nice, since we did not have any questions we got back in my truck and left.

RE: To Marcus

I made negative comments about the new CW here in Winter garden and received reply here both to my post and PM from Marcus and 2 contacts from the GM of the CW, just have not gone back for fear of running into the same salesman again. So as to Deetour Marcus does answer people on this site.

RE: Is buying from Camping World our only option?

more and more dealerships here in the Orlando area are going to salary salesmen, if they do not produce they are not there long.

RE: Is buying from Camping World our only option?

I guess bashing a saleman for doing his job in one thread wasn't enough so you started another. See the thread "RV Dealer - is what he said true?" I saw in one of your previous posts you work(ed) in a call center. Doesn't that make your depiction of RV salespeople as despicable scum kind of like the kettle calling the pot black? That Camping World salesman did exactly what he was supposed to do, try to sell you an RV. He offered to find the rig you wanted, gave you reasons to buy from Camping World and you feel like he violated you. What should they have done, told you they didn't have the rig you wanted, tell you there is no reason to ever buy from Camping World and then walk away from you so you wouldn't feel they were being pushy? If I managed that Camping World sales department, I wouldn't be upset with the salesperson, I would probably use them as an example of how a salesperson should handle a customer. BTW, if the other dealer was so great, and the rig so perfect, why the heck were you out shopping other dealers anyway? Me thinks there is more to the story. if you had taken the time to read his whole post carefully before forming your opinion, you may have noticed he bought his Rv from a private owner not a dealer. It appears that you have never encountered a "pushy" salesman, I have! Most assume you know exactly what you want before you get there and really do not like to take the time to show you a variety of units for fear that you are not serious and they might miss there next "up". Perhaps this who;e attitude might change if they paid salaries instead of comissions. An example of a pushy salesman would be the one i met at Suncoast, now camperworld in Winter Garden, after showing us 3 units he said " well which one is it going to be, I have to make a living here you know?" obviously we went elsewhere.

RE: New Camping World in Winter Garden

thank you , I probably will stop in again and hopefully it will not be such a dismal failure as my 1st visit. Just do not care to ever deal with that particular salesman again. He was bad last year and has not improved with age.

RE: New Camping World in Winter Garden

wish they had fixed it before I went there, after my visit the salesman calls my wife, who is driving in a blinding rain storm, and asks her if its raining where she is, than after my wife answers him in the affirmative he hangs up.

New Camping World in Winter Garden

Went to visit the new store in Winter Garden Florida a few weeks ago and to my displeasure I found the same salesman that was there when it was suncoast rv, You know there is a reason they did not do well and it was not selection. I have bought 3 new rv's in the past 3 years, an airstream, my forest river 36RE touring edition and now my new super c, which we have decided is not big enough, so we stopped in at your new store, total waste of time! The same sales person who took care of us when it was suncoast greeted us, what a Joy,he never listened to anything we said, just showed us MH after MH that had none of the features we wanted. In an area that has 3 other dealers within 1 mile you would think that camping world would hire competent sales staff.
