i know its not an option for many, but indoor storage of the rv is best. Since building my garage a few years back, our new 5er looks as good or better than the day i brought it home. I also use 303 however.

Why anyone would even need shorepowered ELECTRICITY for a "quick overnight" is beyond me.
Most RV's have battery enough to maintain basic services for at least a day...what else would one need if just stopping to sleep and eat?
with young children, it is nice to be able to run the ac at night while its 90 degrees at 2am. that is if you dont have a genny.

I made mine 28 x 52, with a 14 x 14 door, 18 ft ceiling. I can walk on roof, do any maintence necessary, open all slides and awning. During winter time, I am able to store my parents do inside also. Go as big as possible

the place is a dump, dirty and too tight of spots. The Destin area is very nice however, but i would never stay at this camp ground.

What? It's like $40/night! How can you get any cheaper than that for FHU, plus cable tv? We pay $25/night for a state park in NC that only has water and electric and it's not at teh beach.
I agree, we have paid double this rate for places that don't compare to topsail. I can't believe its only 42$ nightly, great bagin for us, we have 11 nights booked over 4th of july, can't wait. Going from topsail to gavelston TX, new location for us.

I did it on our old tt. Worked great. I did call mfg for a spec on wall studs to be sure I could hit them. Luckily tt had wall studs installed correctly to install ladder. Found ladder for 100$ and only took about an hour to install.

if you mean camping on the gulf in destin florida, you couldn't pay me to stay there. Its a total dump, sites on top of each other, huge holes in road, park in dirt and sand, no thanks.

i agree, i built my garage when i had a tt that was only 10'6" tall and 26 ft long, now my 5er is 13'5" and 40 ft long. I did a door that is 14 x 14 and the garage is 28 x 52....still have room for other toys also.

thanks for the suggestions, it does seem that most of them are newer. We are just starting to look, maybe by the thime we will be ready to purchase there will be a few used ones out there that fit our budget ($200k or under).
