RE: Where are all the snowbirds ?

we arrived in florida today, and experienced the same thing on our trip from Ohio. Only saw a few units heading south. But hell with them... you and us are here.

RE: Opinion on when to leave

Thanks Route40.. We want to get to Rock Hill before dark... so we are looking at 8 am on sunday...and the weather will be better. And the Panthers are out of town. I think Central waxes East Hardy and that Wahama beats Willytown. When are you guys coming down?

Opinion on when to leave

Ohio to Florida.... debating whether to leave next Sunday or next Monday. Sunday will have more holiday traffic, but no Charlotte rush hour. stopping in Rock Hill for the night.

RE: Where to park RV while on cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale

We always park at Kellys Storage. 954-321-3957 24 hour security. gated. lighted. friendly. 15 bucks a day for the RV, 5 bucks a day for the vehicle. They take you to the port, but do not pick you up. About 20 bucks for a cab. Should make reservations in advance.

RE: Camping spot

We like Salt Fork as well, and Geneva. But for the price, Barkcamp SP is very good.

RE: Campground

In a decent area, but it looks like a rat hole. We stayed in JaMar across the road (rt 19), but it is very pricey for what you get.

RE: Lake Wales or Sebring

fellowsue,, we looked long at hard at campnaire, but chose Lake Wales which is right across from it.. Ultimately, the fact that campnaire is for sale, was our deciding point.

Lake Wales or Sebring

Looking at RV parks in both areas. Is one area better (or even warmer by a a few degrees) than the other? Just looking for some opinions.

RE: SENIORS NATIONAL PARK PASS FOR USA

Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. 62 years or older. We just used ours in Michigan this week.

RE: I-75 or I-79/77 Ontario to Florida in January

We live in East Ohio about 40 miles from I-77. We have taken both routes to and from the Florida Gulf coast. I-77 is almost 200 miles shorter, but has many twists and hills until you get to the NC border. I-75 has traffic issues in Cincinnati and Atlanta, while I-95 is okay on the weekends, but is crowded during the week. When going thru Atlanta, go straight thru town.
