RE: Has anyone found the PERFECT bunkhouse?

For us, ours is what we wanted and fits our needs. We can have a quad bunk, or all four beds fold up out of the way for storage or a play room. Or the one bunk can be a booth dinette. When that table its not being used inside, it can be set up anywhere outside.

RE: Dreaded San Jose, CA Trip

Try the Thousand Trails Morgan Hill preserve. Limited number of sites open to public. Clean, lots of trees, huge pool.

RE: How much do you pay for Kuerig Kcups?

We use Amazon. Wife likes a different flavor depending on the day and Amazon will send a random variety bag of 32 or 36 cups. Don't remember the price but it is inline with all the others.

RE: First Trip with New Trailer (pics)

We stayed at the Lake of Springs Thousand Trails here in California and had a great time.
Glad you had a good time. We were there couple of weeks ago and will be back there on May 11th along with 4th of July week. Always one of our favorites.

Stored level, but it is also stored inside protected from the elements.

RE: I thought I found my next TT....

I'm partial to Prime Time RV. Look at either the Lacrosse 292 or Tracer 2900. Similar layouts and weights.

RE: General RV Sucks!

Factory didn't install galley valve? I'm guessing you mean the valve to drain the galley tank.. Lacrosse trailers have two grey tanks, galley and grey (for shower and bathroom sink). Both tanks are connected and drain from the same valve. Installing a galley valve would not have been necessary. So you would have had two valves, black and grey. Did you ever directly contact Prime Time?

RE: Do any car-rent companies permit TT towing w/ rented truck?

Not sure if a rental truck would even have a brake controller.

RE: Trailer Trailer vs. Fifth Wheel Drivability

I also have had both, and there really was no difference between towing. My current TT has more storage than the FW had. I can easily carry all four bikes inside, which in FW this was difficult. Plus I still have the truck bed. Amenities all depends on level of TT or FW. Current TT has a nicer interior and amenities than prior FW.

RE: Reno to Santa Cruz Ca.

Also depends on what day. You do not want to come out of Reno on Sunday unless early morning. Also best to be past Fairfield before noon will help avoid traffic on entire route.

RE: Interstate Toll Pass

Orange County California has a toll road that branches off I-405 and runs through the hills and then hooks up with I-5. It's linked to the FasTrak system that is used for the bridges in the San Francisco bay area.
As mentioned in a previous post, the bay area has one or two interstates that have been converted to HOV lanes and toll lanes for single occupant vehicles. There is no cost for HOV/carpool qualifying vehicles and the single occupant vehicles are charged according to traffic volume on the rest of the road. (Cheaper during non-commute times and more expensive during commute times.) Single occupant vehicles must have the FasTrak transponder or risk a rather HUGE citation from the Highway Patrol. HOV vehicles are not required to have the transponder.
But if you're towing, you don't need to worry about HOV lanes because it is illegal to tow in HOV lanes (at least in CA).

RE: New Lacrosse already has issues HELP

Glad you found the problem, as that it definitely a dealer mistake. Don't worry to much about the monitors. Mine appear to be backwards also, but since the grey tanks drain from the same valve, they will "equalize" anyways if one is fuller than the other.

RE: New Lacrosse already has issues HELP

The Lacrosse has two grey tanks that drain from the same valve. On mine, the most rear valve is the black tank, the forward valve drains the grey tanks. Because of the location of the galley tank, it takes a while to drain. If you still have concerns contact Prime Time and they WILL take care of it.

RE: Pleased with Tundra crashworthiness

Glad your Toyota worked as designed. Wifes Camry was in an accident, front end was totaled, no airbags deployed. Toyota insists everything worked as designed. No one was injured only because the passenger seat was unoccupied. Passenger door could not be opened due to deformation of door pillars and frame.

RE: Maybe not meant to go!

I had something similar, engine would rev, no power, a little oil drip. Ended up just being the turbo air intake hose blew off. I guess this its somewhat common.

RE: Why charge loyal customers more

I have a pickup camper, so none of your issues are my issues. I can get a killer price for AAA from Costco! (Sams Club)
You say this, unfortunately AAA left me stranded on the Oregon/California border. I had just my truck. AAA said first that the truck had to be completely empty to tow, then said they would not tow my truck at all.

RE: Parks around Antioch, CA

The unfortunate part about the fairgrounds in Antioch is it is near a high crime area. Not just theft either. Antioch is currently experiencing higher amounts of drive bys and other violent crimes, mostly in a neighborhood near the fairgrounds.

RE: Looking to overnight near Sacramento CA

If you continue on I5 about a 1/2 hour south of Sacramento to the I5/12 junction, there are a couple of truck stops and fast food places. Easy on and off, prices generally lower than other places.
