RE: Mor/Ryde IS Suspension System?

Don't " THINK" discs may not be worth it. You never drove a fiver with them have you? I can lock 4 wheels right now. No drum brake is half as good. Why do they put discs on all cars? They don"t do it because they cost less, they do it to stop in an emergency> Only Rv manufactuers do it to save money. And, if a wheel seal leaks, like one of mine did they don;t throw grease all over the drum. It appears that the grease that leaked flew straight away and never came near the rotors. Can't say that for drums. And NO adjustments ever. Spend the money for disc brakes. You will never by sorry.

RE: Prodigy2 wiring Silverado

Prodigy wireing harness to Chev. blue is blue Pro red is Chev blue (smallish wire) Pro Black is Chev red Pro white is Chev black (little wire). I just went to the garage and took a look at mine. I removed it when I got the new 2011 Chev with intergrated controller. Personally I like the Prodigy better than the built in. but it's a real pain to go and find out how to disconnect the built in I think. No more patience. Good luck. By the way I had a 07 2500HD

RE: Silver City, NM

Went thru there in 2009 no notes that the road was bad so must be ok (wife makes notes of bad things and amount of traffic etc. We stayed at Manzano's RV Park 575 534 4277 Really liked it. According to Trailer life $30/36 All drive thru. Not a real large place> we travaled to Mogollon a deserted (almost) mining town (up 12?) we went to Gila Cliff Dwellings (up 15)Lots of sceneic driving in the areaAccording to the map 32 miles from Lordburg to SC. Unless it all comes at once 1700 ft in 32 miles isn't much.

RE: Sani-Con motor runs but does not pump - suggestions?

Do you use wipes? My sister flushed one down the toilet and it did not get chopped up in the pump. Had to take apart and clean up by hand. Don't need that.

RE: converting 50 amp to 30 amp

Whenever possible, use the 50 amp outlet with an adapter. There are so many 30 amp outlets that are burnt up and because of that they will burn your plug up too. I found that using the 50 amp and adapter has saved mine. Before I started doing that I had replaced the plugs twice. And also, if the 30 amp outlet breaker is weak, it can blow sooner than the 50. Don"t worry. Your camper has a 30 amp main so you can only use the 30 amps.

RE: Replace DRL bulb in 2006 GMC 2500HD?

Mine was kinda melted to the plastic surronding the glass. If I remember I just pulled hard. Might be a good idea to put some dielectric on the new one. I'm glad you are fixing it. So many times they just ignore them I think it adds a lot of safety to driving

RE: Walmart overnighting yes or no?

I always stop at Walmart. It saves me money and miles that I don't have to travel to a campground and pay for things I don"t use or need. I never use the restrooms, gamerooms sauna, pools. I don't need electric and if I need to dump, it's only every 5/7 days when on the road and by that time I am at my destination. We stop, get the generator going, go into the store and buy a roto chicken, some potato salad and maybe some jello salad. Dinner and a lot cheaper than going to a resturant. I seldom put out the slides. that make it look like camping. And don"t forget, If you feel threatened, use your key fob and press the PANIC button. I have never been were I feel threatened.

RE: in bed aux fuel tanks

I have a 60 gal RDS from Northern. Love it but the computer doesn't like the idea of filling the tank and making miles at the same time. It thinks something is wrong and send a signal to turn on the check engine light. I now have a ball valve and turn it on when we stop for a break or lunch, sightseeing, whatever. I love having the extra fuel and can't imagine being without it. As far a weight, fully loaded full fuel, everything. About #400 shy of gross

RE: Any resistance difference?

What randrx2 said. How are you going to measure the differance. But more importantly why do you want to? More surface area, lower resistance Skin effect, they say the current runs on the outside of the wire, not thru it. Concernd? get a bigger wire.

RE: 50 AMP to 30 AMP adapter

If there is a 50 amp outlet, it is the 1 I use. Too many 30 amp outlets in campground are burnt up and then they burn up yours. Not a lot of 50 amps out there and they don"t burn up the outlets.

RE: 120 Volts out of a hot tub box

going to need 4 wire cable, not 3 wire or did you use 6/3 wg (with ground) already?most times today they assume the ground and do not count it.ie 6/3 would have 4 wires. Yes, install a sub panel.

RE: Rear kitchens-good or bad??

I've never had a problem with breakage or stuff moving around. We left by mistake a cup of coffee, almost full and when we stopped for lunch, it was still where we had left it. no spillage. I have a Trailer Saver hitch.(air bags built in). Maybe thats why.

RE: Driving with generator on

We always ran the genny while moving. The little factory air of the Ford could hardly cool the front end of our C, let alone any of the coach. Finally disconneted the Ford air and let the coach air do all the work. Saved a lot of gas

RE: Why no cheap no frills overnight w/elec offered?

In 1985 I traveled thru Oregon and saw many camper parks. At the time it was $10 a nite and drive thru. No water, sewer cable. Just electric. I would love to see them more often. Used something simalar last winter in Illinios just off hiway 39 Kind of a lifesaver as weather was getting bad and cold. Had an attached gas station with a subway and a burger king.$20 and they had a dump if you needed it price included.

RE: surge protector

I choose a permenant one. No prongs to get burnt when plugging into a defective outlet. I've replaced too many male plugs so far. All because of bad campground outlets. I complain, they say, we'll check it out. Yeah, right. I also use a 50/30 adapter ALL the time because 50 amps is hardly ever used, and the outlets don't seem to burnt. So far since I started doing that I have not replaced a 30 amp plug
