Seattle to DC
I know your thinking this is the wrong time of year for such cross country travel, but it is what it is.
No RV just a small passanger car making the trip. Looking for some suggestions and some "dont miss" stops that we should seriously consider. Much talk about Northern Route Vs Southern Route, however time may be an issue, as our departure date is still unknown (within the next week is my desire) and we do have a deadline to be in DC (24th).
One infant and a 2 yr old also along for the ride. So consider that in ideas...
Do any of the interstates require "chains" this time of year?

Rereading your comments, IF I disconnect from the battery (which I normally do)when I plug into electric, the propane side of the water heater should still work right? Just like the fridge when it runs on gas? Cause this problem just started and it has worked in the past without the battery being hooked up while plugged into electric...

Thanks for that...When we arrived in camp, I put on the propane first for a quick heat up, and it wouldnt work, so I switched to the electric. Heading to Dover race in 2 weeks, so need to get propane portion working again, since we will be dry camping. Will check out your suggestions...

Atwood Water Heater
When I turn on the switch (inside the trailer on the wall) for the propane water heater, I get nothing. No click click click.... Nothing. Electric side works fine? Is it a fuse?

Highway Accidents
Does anyone know how to find out information on an accident we see along a major highway? On Sunday this past weekend, crossing the Wilson Bridge along the Inner loop of I-495 in DC, an older Pace Arrow motorhome had burnt up to nothing. The front half of the motorhome was nothing more than the metal frame. Checked the local paper (Washington Post) the next morning both in print and online with no reports. I can only assume that no one died, otherwise it would have made the news? Would like to know how we can find out more when we see accidents involving RV's? to insude the families are OK? Also, On Tuesday evening while traveling south along the NJ Turnpike, a heavy wrecker was hauling another motorhome northbound with a completely burned up front end?
