RE: Moab, UT

We were at Slippery Rock campground North of Moab last month.
The Cottonwoods were terrible, the ground was covered like snow. Then they parked a 36' next to us and he cranked on both a/c's and the current in my unit dropped to less than 100. I shut down the a/c called the office and got the answering machine. Never heard back from them. Pulled out the next morning.

RE: Thinking about a Jeep

I am towing 2012 Jeep Patriot (manual transmisson, Demco towbar and baseplate. Made a Trip through New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado last Month, the Jeep was great to have. In fact the five-speed is fun. About 3100#.

RE: Southeastern Missouri Campground Suggestions

Silver Mines is a Forest Service Recreation Area. The Riverside campground has electric. No Dump station. Great Scenery...
It has been 3 years since I was there.
I loved it back in the Popup Days, but need more amenities now.

RE: Dinghy selection

I am towing 2012 Patriot (manual trasmission) now. An elderly driver in Florida last Nov. finished off my 1999 Jeep Cherokee. So far no problems with either.

RE: Route Phoenix to Las Cruces NM via US60 & US70

Did that route in reverse in Dec 2006. Neat I was pulling a 14' Uhaul trailer with my stepson's household goods. (Finished his PHD at ASU, years before but left everything till he found a
"real" job) He was following us with my 1999 Jeep Cherokee (my toad) pulling another tandem axle trailer. We had no other problem than a little snow worried us.

RE: Rt 259 SE OK

I have been over that route many times with my motorhome with dingy (jeep cherokee) with no problems.
The Kiamichi Mountains are really pretty. One set of switchbacks on the north side of one of the 2 ridges. Nice Forest Service campground a mile or so west of 259.

RE: RV Service around Branson, MO

Don't know of any mobile service. I used RV Consignments, Carthage MO exit 22, I-44 right across from Colelaw RV salvage. They recoated my roof, labor and materials just under $400. They also installed my baseplate, tailights, and trailer hitch on my new toad. Very Satisfied with both, Done when promised.

point lookout state park Maryland

My oldest daughter and family are moving to
California Maryland. I have not been to much of the Mid Atlantic area. This state park appears the closest, but so close to the water I would imagine that it fills up quite often.
Other parks, Maybe?

RE: Back-Up Camera

I purchased a license plate camera from Pep Boys $80 3-4 years ago. Mounted it in place of the center running light near the top. It gives me a view of my toad and the road, although a bit small it works. I powered the camera on the running lights circut, so it requires that I have the lights turned on. The moniter is powered by a 12 volt plug in.
Note my motorhome is 30'.
