RE: Kansas road info

Most of 169 is a 2-lane road but is in good shape. You should have no problems even pulling a fifth wheel or trailer. I pulled my fifth wheel on it last year with no problems. But if you plan on taking it to Oklahoma you will find 169 will change at the border to real bad when in Oklahoma. 169 in Kansas is OK have a safe trip

RE: Durango to Colorado Springs

On the east side of wolf creek pass there is a tunnel but not sure what the clearence is. I would try and find out what the height is. You will be in for a slow climb up and down and hope your brakes are in good shape. Best if you have exhaust brake if not I would use lowest gear you have for this pass. What is your tow truck?

RE: Dumping Stray Dogs (Rant)

Maybe they are drop offs or they may be hunters lost dogs. How do you know? That is a good question and hard to answer. I have lost hunting dogs in my years of hunting with them and have always been able to retrieve them after a day or so. Had a dog one night start hunting with my dogs as they were on trail and he was almost starved to death. Took him home and found out that he had been lost for almost two weeks. I called my hunting partner and told him what I found and he ask me where I found him and he said he had lost a dog almost two weeks before in the same area I was hunting. It turned out that the dog was one he was trying out and had got lost. He came over and picked it up. He had been eating black berries for all that time.
