F150 to f250

So I bought a newer truck went from 98 f150 to 04 f250 brought the trailer home the other day man what a difference my question is that when I hooked up the Wd hitch there was no weight on the bars normally when I hook up I have to use a little bar to pry to get them hooked up and the pins in. Does this mean I need different bars for the bigger truck the empty weight of trailer is 4300 ish I know nobody tows a empty trailer just thought it would help give a idea of what I tow

RE: "newbie" mistakes

My first trip with our new tt was stinking hot had my 9 year old daughter bouncing off the walls wanting to get everything set up the site wasn't laid out the best. Ii had to drive into the site so the electrical cord would hook up. Anyway got everything st up with no problems was amazed at how simple it was conpared to the old pop up. I have a quick drink and it's time to run home to get the boat jump in the truck and start to wheel it around and ran over the fire pit large metal grate missed the front wheel but catches just behind the tire rips out of the ground opens the rocker panel of the truck like a can of sardines and bends the heck ou of the bottom of the door pretty much blew the whole weekend

RE: When do Provincial Parks open books for summer res?

We did the eastern provinces last summer July and aug but if I remember it took a while to get a hold of the CG s we stayed at the wife ended up having to call them. As for PP in Ontario they are 5months to the day you want to arrive

RE: Power Chips

No they don't work! Save your money now there are tuners like the sct2 they will run a couple hundred bucks . You can load 3 tunes onto these and have a choice of what each one will do you can also change things like adjust speedo for bigger tires or different gear ratios. Buy from a good shop I learned the hard way after I bought one for a mustang the guy who wrote the program leaned out the air fuel and bye bye motor

Gps

Thought I would post this up on here as I can't seem to find a clear answer. I need to buy a new gps this year and have looked at a couple of options even a whole new radio with it built in but they are a thousand bucks . I saw on a site somewhere that a guy had h is blackberry Playbook mounted and was using it as his gps, I have been through all the blackberry forums and can't see a clear answer as to how well this will work. A Playbook is as much as a gp s and has many more uses. Does anyone use a Playbook for there gps, h ow do u like it and how easy is it to use

RE: 2013 Trip: Cape Breton, NS

We stayed at the badeck Cabot trail campground last summer the people were great clean some of the sites seemed kinda small but it was a great spot to drive the trail from would have done it twice but shortly after we left for the second time daughter wasn't feeling well had had to turn back. Plan on going back in a coulee years the alexandr bell museum was very good. One pice of advise if you take pictures take a lot of film of memory cards

RE: East side of Montreal

Instead of leaving Friday after work and having to deal with the stress of Montreals Rush hour/s why not leave super early on Saturday morning..No traffic,no stress, and cooler temps..
Good point; during the week, the entire Montreal area is under control of the construction gods.
we had thought of that but unless we leave around 2 am we will hit traffic a truck driver friend told me i should go up to the 440 to the 25 then over to 640 then on to 20 up to Qubec city and that should miss alot of construction. He said that there is a flyingJ

RE: Emily Provincial Park - Ontario

emaily is a great little park we camp there a few times a year, and we only live 10 min away. staff are great the beaches are clean but very weedy pigeon lake was once a creek many years back the lake was created after the locks of the trent severan waterway were build so most of the lake is flooded farm land. There is a small camp store. The city of peterborugh is 10 min away lindsay is about 15 min away. the fishing in pigeon is grreat for bass and muskie or off the dock you can catch tons of sunfish or perch. this is one of are favorite parks not much else to say so come and have fun
