RE: Jellystone Campgrounds

Usually nothing wrong with them. Pretty pricey, but lots of things to do with kids. Spent a few nights at Jellystone parks when kids were little.

Checkout Sam's club. I think they have different ones than Walmart (believe it or not).

RE: Legal issues with performing First Aid.

As sad as it is. If you have first aid skills and you improperly used those skills on someone you probably have a better chance of being sued than me who doesn't have skills.
I would help in anyway I could.

Quick Connect on waterpump for Keystone 2010

Do they have surflow, flowjet, or other waterpump? Not near the camper and I'm trying to find a quick connect connector so I can winterize without unhooking the freshwater line from the fitting. Doesn't use the normal threaded connector to the pump. Thanks

I agree. As long as the hitch set up is,correct. That is the first piece before tires, sway control, air bags or any other, options.

RE: First trial run towing with the new truck.

I checked the drop today, with the tounge weight on the ball with no bars it drops 3" at the rear bumper, and the front wheelwells measure +1". The bars bring it back up 2" at the rear bumper. I've been playing with this with different ball heights and bar tension. Nothing seems to make a difference. I got under the back of the truck today, and it looks pretty much the usual. I did notice the tires and the rear springs are "made in Mexico". I wish I had my old truck for a side by side comparision. Pushing back and forth sideways on the rear of the truck there is a lot of sidewall flex. I've got the tires at the max sidewall pressure of 44 psi. I strongly suspect it's tires, but to the best of my knowledge my 06 had similar tires. I think they were General Ameritrac (made in USA). The new truck has General Grabber (made in Mexico). Perhaps they were LT, the new truck tires are definitely P tires. It sure feels like those sidewalls flexing, but I sure don't want to spend another $600 for some LT tires. Why would they put P tires on a truck that has a 9700 lb trailer capacity?
Does the front come back down?

Measure the front before and after the bars are put on. Should be pretty close .

RE: First trial run towing with the new truck.

You shouldn't drop 6". Combination of hitch height, ball tilt should get you better distribution to the front. What happens to the front when you drop the back 6"?

RE: First trial run towing with the new truck.

I'm close to 900 - 1000lbs of hitch weight. If I remember right I don't drop more than an inch in the back.

RE: Air mattress sofa and Electric awning

I have an electric awning and air bed.
Electric awning works fine. Not sure I would have ordered it, but came with the package. It's nice rolling it up with a push of a button, but it really saves you about 1 minute as opposed to a manual awning. If you have a storm come up it's nice to roll it up from inside provided you don't have it tilted and have the awning knobs locked.
It seems like a manual awning you can get lower to clean it off before you roll it up. My electric awning is pretty high up. I don't have the wind sensor, but it does tilt.
I hate air mattresses, but I guess it may be better than a bar in your back. I've slept on it a couple times, but wouldn't want to have that as an every night bed.

RE: First trial run towing with the new truck.

I went from a 2004 to 2009 and haven't experienced what you have. I pull what's in my sig and don't notice any mushiness at all. 6 speed is a nice tranny compared to the 4 speed when towing. (I like the 4 speed when not towing however). Keep playing with the hitch height and tilt.
