RE: I-PAD 2 with 3G??

I have the ipad2 with verizon 3G. I've just canceled my monthly plan for the winter as I'm through traveling. I'll restart in April or May. Where possible I use wifi, it's faster & cheaper. This past season I never came close to using my $20 1 mb but it's sure handy to have when wifi is not available, which was at quite a few CG's I go to.

RE: NC to out west somewhere trip...advice?

On your way to Grand Canyon from SD it would be a sin to miss the great parks of Utah. Starting with Arches then moving down to Brice Canyon & Zion. From there straight south to Grand canyon. Zion is my favorite park. Your looking up rather than down as at Grand Canyon.
Your going to have a wonderful trip, ENJOY !!

RE: Class "B" not for me.

I agree with you. I've owned a B for 11 yrs. & love it, have traveled this country & Canada from coast to coast. But if I had to travel with my wife (who would rather have a root canel than camp)I'd have to have a larger rig.

RE: Is there a difference between Wi-Fi and 3/4G?

I have 3G on my ipad & find it quite slow compared to wifi but it beats no service. Not all campgrounds charge for wifi.

RE: Deep cycle battery question

I've used a #27 deep cycle battery for 3 yrs. as a starting battery on my class B. I use it because it can be discharged deeper & more often than a reg. starting battery with out crapping out. I live in Minn. & while I don't drive much in the winter I do take it out once a month to work it out. It has NEVER failed to start. I'm sure your generator will pose no problem.

RE: Best iPad Apps and Mounting

I purchased my ipad with 3G. Started with 3GB, cut to 1GB & still using less than half. I love to attend bluegrass concerts, which are held , at least in MN in more remote sites with no WIFY. My Verizon bars are 1 to 2 & the 3G is way slow, compared to home WIFY, but it does work. It's also neat to have in Dr's/dentist offices while waiting. David, I'll give some thought to "Atomic" though so far I don't use Safari hardly at all. Also you'll love fox9 weather. I have the one's you have, this is the best hands down. The main point I'd like to make is I absolutly LOVE my ipad.

RE: Best iPad Apps and Mounting

As your from the twin Cities I think you'll like "Fox 9 Weather". Not only will it give you Twin City weather but where your at. I was in Garden City, MN last week end & it gave me local radar & temps. Gas Buddy, is also helpful for finding prices. Oh Ranger, a park finder seems helpful, I just haven't had a chance to use it.Wikihood, will give you local information based on where your at.Spirit Level to help leveling your rig. These are the ones I'm using. I hope your Topic will bring forth many other suggestions.
