RE: Campground suggestions for Lewiston ID - Clarkston WA

Chief Timothy Park is nice for a public park, most the power/water sites are all pull thru's just need to find ones that can accommodate your rig. Many are right on the water. The campground is located on an Island in the Snake River. This is a popular campground due to its location and popular with RV/boaters too. Campground Details

RE: Where do you buy new tires from?

Friend of mine runes a local Tire Factor store, and when we talked he highly recommended using the FMCA pricing, or any pricing groups that you can other then his retail. Often the negotiated price from a group like FMCA is lower then his cost, of course he doesn't lose money and he's happy to sell the tires.

RE: ?'s on storing toy hauler near the ocean

Not much you can do, salt air and the rain will do its damage. You can do your best to pain any exposed spots but even then the salt air will work into any spot it can find. I looked at an RV down in Florence, OR that had been there a couple years, it looked more like it had aged 10 years. Covering will help but won't solve the problem.

RE: Victory Lane Question

You might try the search too, to see if the topic has been covered on other forums as well. If you don't get the help you need I can move this over to the Do It Yourself Modifications and Upgrades (DIY) forum.

RE: Newb question

Welcome Hops. A lot of questions, but you need to give some details and remember not everyone knows the unit you are looking at, garage length or open hauler? You're trucks owners manual will explain your towing limits for the hitch, GVWR, GCWR, etc. You state full size quads, then talk sport quads, do you have both? Utilities take up more room and weigh more.

RE: Evoluent VM3R2-RSB Vertical Mouse 3

Microsoft tried that too, dropped it. Nice idea for those with issues, but for the majority it doesn't cut it. http://www.abry.biz/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/microsoft-ergonomic-mouse.jpg width=480 I use a Logitech Performance mouse that has just enough of a curve to be comfortable for my hand. I use one at work and one at home.

RE: GPS Software

I think you are not setting up Street Atlas correctly, it does have turn by turn navigation. I will say the interface is a bit of a challenge though. http://www.toptenreviews.com/i/rev/scrn/large/1097-street-atlas-usa1.jpg width=640

RE: 2013 NW Spring Rally..when and where to go?

http://www.cbrvresort.com/index.php Anybody ever stay here? We've stayed here a couple of times. Sites 41-52 are very nice for a rally, as they are all fairly close without being on top of each other. Plus they are close to the pool/spa as well as the lodge. There are rows of pull through sites as well. The rec room is located on the 2nd floor, I'm not sure if that is an issue for anyone or not. There is a bus that goes into Canon Beach, saves you from walking or trying to park your car downtown.

RE: Intro and Shopping Advice

Hit up the search button on here about other Heartland owners, mostly good but some are not happy campers. Generator could a bigger issue, what did it have? Probably an Onan 5500? Might be worth having it checked out and make an offer pending that it passes or gets repaired at an Cummins Onan shop. Could be bad gas, could also be the altitude adjustment wasn't set appropriately.

RE: Laptop or iPad?

Ipads are ONLY wifi capable. You can purchase an ipad that has access to the Verizon, AT&T or Sprint cell or LTE networks. You are not limited to WiFi unless you buy one that is WiFi only.

RE: St.Anthony's - June

Do you have paddle tire for the Honda 250? We have a couple Recon 250s great units, but the sand at Coral pink is very fine and paddles help. The higher altitude also lends to having the quads jetted if possible. From what I've heard about St Anthony's the paddles on the 250 would be even more helpful.

RE: Voltage 3905 Fresh Water Capacity

Have you talked to Dutchmen or your dealer? I'm wondering if it has a 2nd tank that isn't filling properly, perhaps poor venting. There could also be a switch to open or closer that tank off depending on how it's plumbed. If you haven't yet done it, make a couple of calls before you drop the bottom off.

RE: Best built Toyhauler

Desert Fox makes a nice unit, but they dropped their 5th wheel a few years ago. Solid unit, but the interior (at least 5 years ago) looked more like something from the early 80s. I haven't seen one in person but I like the looks of the KZ StoneRidge Sportster as well as the Infernos.

Be worse to have a wild fire out there while you're camping. Restricting BBQs, that's new to me though.

RE: Good weekend but had a blow out.

Sorry about the blow up, as for tires. Well this forum has a tire thread posted just about ever 5 threads so a bit of reading will turn up a lot of sometimes heated discussions. Graphics, it's a painstaking process. Get a hot air gun, better then a hair dryer to loosen them up, do it on a warm day as well. The some lacquer thinner or a citrus cleaner to remove the glue, then plan on a large number of frustrating hours removing the graphics. Why do you think Keystone sent you new free ones, they got off cheap :)
