RE: Springdale TT toilet water pressure

Is there any leaks by the toilet line? The line could have had some water in it during the winter and froze? That could allow air to come into the line?

RE: 2005 Ram 5.9l Cummins?

He is a good friend and I know he takes care of it just like his classic cars in the garage. It is a 2500 quad cab 4x4. I just need to convince the boss that this is a great deal and worth the $$. I just wanted to know if there was anything that I should look at. Thanks for all your great encouragement.

2005 Ram 5.9l Cummins?

I am looking at a friends 2005 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins. I have never had a diesel before is there anything to look at? It has 58k and has never towed anything heavy besides a utility trailer a couple times and a case of beer. He said he would sell it to me for 8k under blue-book. He has done no mods to it. Besides a couple small dings there seems like there isn't anything wrong with it. He is looking a friends truck. I really don't need a diesel but it would be nice in the future to get a TT or 5W, right now we don't have anything. We are looking to get back into camping and was looking at popups because I have a Dakota now but with a family of 5 we would like something bigger since we have tried that before. So if you have any suggesting of things to look at let me know. Thanks

RE: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos

I tried the stuff in the packet but want to make some of my own to make the fire look cool and give the kids a show! Here is the site I found that gives a pretty good list. I will have to practice at home. Magic

RE: Clean it up

I totally agree with you. It is like selling anything car/house/RV... anything. If you want to get the money you are asking for it clean it up. As far as a dealer they are just lazy, their excuse is there will be tons of people tracking in and out of it making it a mess why should i clean it? In this economy you would think that everyone would be trying their best to make the biggest dollar.

RE: Not a pic of travel trailer, it will sit next to my trailer!

This is one that I worked on a little. I didn't have much to spend so I found a 1990 EZGO that was 2-cycle, I wouldn't recommend because it is much louder than the 4-cycle models but it was what we could afford. I built the back seat, added LED lights to the cover and under the floor and led fogs light for night driving. We had it at a permanent site so we used it at night a lot. It was a fun toy. If you were wondering about the trailer I bought it from a coworker who had it in a barn. I couldn't find one anywhere like that. http://i669.photobucket.com/albums/vv60/jordanball/golf%20cart/100_7581.jpg more pictures

My last trailer had a slide and I didn't have a battery and everything work just fine. Must depend on the hardware and the trailer?

RE: Our Seasonal Trailer Park Experience

I am really sorry about your experience. I would like to comment that not all parks act this way. IMO they should be shut down. The camping experience is suppose to be about family, meeting new friends and best of all having fun, not how much money can we make. We had a seasonal site for 2 years and before that we camped there for 10 years. It was a blast but financially it wasn't working for us but we will do it again in the future. Yes there was problems with drinking and partying but the park kept that under wraps. On the weekend on top of the 24 hour security the local sheriffs would come in and help with underage drinking and any other problems. There wasn't as much problems with the seasonal campers but the nightly ones that didn't have any respect for the park. The park make it a fun family experience and each year is trying to find ways to make it better. I would hope that people realize that Barry's comments about the park he stayed at doesn't discourage anyone from trying the seasonal experience. If you are ever in the Madison/Milwaukee area try River Bend Resort in Watertown WI you won't be let down. RB

RE: seasonal camping

We did seasonal camping for a couple years and with kids getting busy and financial reasons we sold everything. But we loved it and will do it again when it is right. We camped for several years and decided to be seasonal and liked it for the reason that rockhillmanor said. Just pack some food and clothes and go up there and start having fun! We were at the River Bend Resort in Watertown WI, if this is close to where you are looking at check it out. River Bend There was always something to do every weekend and the people are great. They are under new management and really turning the place around and making it a great place. Dont forget to get a golf cart because being seasonal that is a must and it is great fun! Have fun looking but make sure you look at all the activities and options that the park has for the price. If you have any questions send me a PM

RE: Thoughts on switching to seasonal site

We have has a seasonal site for a couple years until this year we sold it. It ran us about $2300 or so per year plus electric. We love it but at this time our kids are too young (1,3,4) and we decided at that price and economy we would sell and pay thing off and do other trips. We started out with a 24' no slide and upgraded to a 38' with large slide and bunks. So we were more comfortable. They had tons of things going on every weekend (themed weekends)and with the 2 water slides and big pool and pond it was fun. The most fun I has was the golf cart and the lights and stuff that I can add and looking on RV.net for mods that I could do to the trailer. We had a little lot that we mowed and added flowers and such. There is different types of people out there, ones that likes to see different spots and one that likes to go out and have a place away from home. This is something that we will probably try again in the future but right now it isn't for us. I would recommend someone to try it. Here is a website to where we stayed: River Bend Resort If you are in the area I would recommend staying there. Wow!! that looks like a great place to be. I was in Madison this Wednesday. I should have checked it out. ______________________________________________________________________ Yes it is a great place to come to! We plan on coming at least twice a year go camp. We miss it and the friends we made. I would recommend it to anyone. http://i669.photobucket.com/albums/vv60/jordanball/2001%2038foot%20Skyline%20Nomad%20bunk%20house/100_6028.jpg width=480 http://i669.photobucket.com/albums/vv60/jordanball/2001%2038foot%20Skyline%20Nomad%20bunk%20house/100_5809.jpg width=480 Waiting for 4th of July parade (the one with the trailer) http://i669.photobucket.com/albums/vv60/jordanball/100_5659.jpg width=640
