RE: 2011 Jayco Eagle Super Light

We have the 2010 model of the 29.5 rks. We love it and have towed it over 10000 miles in the last 2 camping seasons. We tow it with a 2008 chev 2500 duramax diesel. This is our first fifth wheel and find it very easy to tow. Enjoy your new camper.

RE: How To Protect Our New Fiver

If it's an option, go camping for those 8 weeks plus a few on either side just to be safe.

RE: RV hitch attached to back...should I "readjust"

Something that nobody mentioned is that when you add weight to the rear bumper to assist in taking weight off the hitch, you possibly apply an excessive amount of weght to the trailer axles. Without being too scientific, adding 200 lbs to the rear of the trailer that causes it to be removed from the hitch weght theoretically adds the 200 plus whatever your hitch weght decreases, to the load on your tires. I would be weighing all axles with this setup to see how it is distributed afterwards. You may find that you are putting your tires close to the limit. Let us know what you find.
