RE: HELP POWER ISSUE!! AND ITS COLD

Check to make sure you have power at the pole where you are plugged in, then the power plugs. As all power was lost this is the first place I would check.

Walking your dogs off leash in Federal Parks

A Montara man walking two lapdogs off leash was hit with an electric-shock gun by a National Park Service ranger after allegedly giving a false name and trying to walk away, authorities said Monday. The park ranger encountered Gary Hesterberg with his two small dogs Sunday afternoon at Rancho Corral de Tierra, which was recently incorporated into the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, said Howard Levitt, a spokesman for the park service. Hesterberg, who said he didn't have identification with him, allegedly gave the ranger a false name, Levitt said. The ranger, who wasn't identified, asked Hesterberg to remain at the scene, Levitt said. He tried several times to leave, and finally the ranger "pursued him a little bit and she did deploy her" electric-shock weapon, Levitt said. "That did stop him." San Mateo County sheriff's deputies and paramedics then arrived and Hesterberg gave his real name, the park spokesman said. Hesterberg, whose age was not available, was arrested on suspicion of failing to obey a lawful order, having dogs off-leash and knowingly providing false information, Levitt said. He was then released. He did not return a phone call seeking comment. Witnesses said the use of a stun gun and the arrest seemed excessive for someone walking two small dogs off leash. "It was really scary," said Michelle Babcock, who said she had seen the incident as she and her husband were walking their two border collies. "I just felt so bad for him." Babcock said Hesterberg had repeatedly asked the ranger why he was being detained. She didn't answer him, Babcock said. "He just tried to walk away. She never gave him a reason," Babcock said. The ranger shot Hesterberg in the back with her shock weapon as he walked off, Babcock said. "We were like in disbelief," she said. "It didn't make any sense." Rancho Corral de Tierra has long been an off-leash walking spot for local dog owners. In December, the area became part of the national park system, which requires that all dogs be on a leash, Levitt said. The ranger was trying to educate residents of the rule, Levitt said.

RE: Dometic NDR 1292 Cooling Unit replacement $$$$$

Looks like they are pricing to replace the complete fridge, not just the cooling unit which would be less than 1/2 the quoted price

RE: Slide copier

After doing a hundred of the thousands I had, I decided to take the remaining to a commercial company. Ended up costing me 31 cents each but I felt it was well worth the money. Had them put on DVDs and gave the out for Christmas presents to the kids.

RE: Leak - Help Please...

Have a dealer do pressure test, best $100.00 I ever spent when I owned a Class C with the very same type of leak. I chased it for a year and re-sealed light, windows and all....

RE: RGV Bound, Pharr area. RV park recommendations?

Victoria Palms is the tops in that area. Only 500 parks to choose from. We stayed at Tip O Texas one season and then Bit of Heaven, you pretty much get what you pay for in the Valley. If you don't need a lot of the whistles and bells you can find reasonable parks. Suggest you book a week in almost any park and then visit around to see just what appeals to your life style.

RE: Aux fuel tank help!

I bought a 45 gallon aux/tool box tank for the same truck you have from American Tank, in Dallas, TX...Also Transfer Flow offered the same set up.. Both were pricy but I felt well worth the money. My tank actually did not transfer but was switched back and forth with the main tank. Operated jus like the old duel tanks of the 70s. Might check with either of these companies for additional info. The units were both EPA approved. Maybe not so now..Good luck So the tank you bought has a fuel pump inside of it? I'm confused on how you switch back and forth between tanks with this setup?? Keep in mind that my truck is a GAS truck not diesel. I dont think the diesels have the pump in the tank. The external tank had a fuel pump and a fuel gauge internally. The transfer switch was installed in the main fuel line just fore of the main tank. A switch on the dash would transfer tanks and also the fuel gauge.

RE: 2011 Montana black tank problems

Might try opening your commode valve while dumping to see if the flow increases. This would tell you if you are in fact vented. Good Luck

RE: How do I find leak origination?

Do a pressure test, several DIY ways are posted on the forums, or most dealers can perform this test for around $100.00. Only sure and quick way to find and eleminate the problem before $$$$$$ damage occurs.

RE: Finding a park in AZ in the winter

Better to go without reservations, only book the first park for a week or two and look around the area to find out what really suits your needs. All parks are not equal and you will find " the perfect park " . Enjoy

I have always drove the good tire up on a block and that raises the flat tire. Think that Camping World sells a commercial producrt just for this application.

If this the selling dealer of just the local dealer? Really sad way to treat a customer IMO.
