RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Instead of having a TV we have a USB TV tuner for the laptop. Works great except we were not happy with the sound. So we changed out the factory radio to an aftermarket with Bluetooth. So now we listen to it through the stereo with no wires running to it.

RE: Went to look at a bigfoot

In defence of the salesman, he also has a boss. Although he may have wanted to keep it there on the chance that you show up his boss may have had a better prospect at the show. Without a deposit the salesman would have been powerless to hold it. One way around a situation like this is to give a deposit on a visa subject to seeing it.
Hope you find what your looking for. I have sold a few of them and they are nice units. Good luck in your hunt.
If that had happened to a GOOD salesman he would have been on the phone telling what had happened and saved the prospect the drive and called him when it was back on the lot!!!!!!!

RE: Went to look at a bigfoot

Wonder if the salesman ever worked at Camping World in Mesa AZ? Couple of years ago we had a weak moment and went to look at a new Class C that they advertised. We both loved the unit but we had one question and it was how did the U shaped dinette convert to a bed, The salesman did not know so we gave him our phone number for the house and both our cell numbers and told him to call when he could show us how it converted and we would come back to buy it. Never called saved us major bucks!!!!!!!!!!

RE: NJ motorhome inspection

YES! Motorhomes need to be inspected in NJ. Don;t know why any dealer would say otherwise... DUH a dealer will say anything to make a sale. How do you know when a seller is lying lips are moving.

RE: ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS

Was told by a mechanic never to run below 1/4 tank since the gas acts as a coolant for the fuel pump any lower than 1/4 tank overheats the pump.

RE: Generator Removal

just a thought???????
If you messed up the drain plug that badly should you attempt removing the generator??
Try one more time. This time counter clock wise.
Yes lets all have a laugh at me. I did actually have that thought, However I tore up the plug fully knowing it was a likely scenario. At some point I had done everything I could think of including using the stud removers.
Was not laughing at you just thinking if you had that kind of problems with the drain plug what kind are you going to get into with removing the generator. Right now you can drive it to a service center what happens if you get it almost out and something else happens?
Again was not laughing at you just giving my 2 cents worth

RE: Propane lines destroyed

To possibly help others from this happening to others can you tell us what the age of the tire was and was it overloaded?

RE: Quick pull down on Fridge/Freezer

When we are out in the 100 temp with ours we put a gallon of water in the freezer and when it is frozen transfer it to the refrigerator and put another gallon in the freezer. Never had a problem with the refrigerator staying cold enough even on propane and in 110 plus weather.

RE: Newbie Class C Questions

IMHO I would stay away from that eras V10 because of the issue of spitting spark plugs If it was a Ford 460 motor only

Storm Shelters

Just a recommendation especially for those that are staying or are going to stay in what is called tornado alley. If you know where you are going to be staying inquire if they have a storm shelter and if not is there a public one close by. Or ask those questions when you check in.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Checked the carpeted ceiling for wet spots using a battery-operated sensor. It's wet and I need to figure out how to reseal the fiberglas roof to avoid more damage. I'll call a dealer place and an rv repair place to see what this will cost.

RE: Repair issues, best choice for fulltime on fixed budget?

"don't want to work on the older unit" also they might not know how to work on an older unit. We take our 1984 El Camino to a very large Chevy dealer and they only have ONE tech that works on the older stuff.

RE: California to Florida i10 RV Campsites

Really need your help and guidance. Nana & Pepe is taking 3 grandkids, 2 parents in a Class C from Fort Walton Beach, FL to Yellowstone and back. It will be our first trip with the entire family. We've found all the campgrounds for the one night overstays there and back but need one on the way back near Amarillo, Tx. Anyone out there have any ideas off of Hwy 40?

RE: Jumping RV's

I don't think this is a topic on which there are protocols and regulations. It's **your** map.
I just wish I could **have** a map. My DH would rather die than display one of those old fart maps on his RV.
If he does not do all the inside stuff like cook clean ect the inside of the door is YOURS!!!!!!!!

Jumping RV's

On the America been there map I have always thought it was for states that you have been to in your RV. But I have noticed more than once a state will be highlighted but all of the surrounding states are not. Short of jumping RV's I am stumped would appreciate thoughts and explanations.
Thanks
