Winter Trip Utah southern loop

Planning winter trip. Starting at St. George Utah. Going to do the southern loop of Utah. We will be leaving sometime around the 15 Dec. and return second week of Jan. Has anyone had any problems with parts of Hwy. 14, Hwy 29, then old 50 to Moab. From Moab to 4 corners down by Cortez. From there to, Monument Valley, Flagstaff, then back home.
Thanks tom

RE: Replace 6 yr old Tires if not Cracked?

I was considering new tires at five years. I wait one extra year so a total of six. I worried so much that last year. The tires started going south real fast. It was a relief to get them replaced. So go do it. Peace of mind is a great way to drive down the road.
safe travels

Yosemite Camp Grounds off Hiway 120

Greetings....as Thousand Trail members we have reservations for a cabin stay at the Yosemite Lakes preserve. It's a special 60th birthday celebration and visit with our son. Sadly however we have read unflattering reviews from recent stays. Anyone have a recent stay and have a moment to share their experience.....? Thanks so much.... The Harpers...

RE: Pebble Beach

Don't forget Monterey Pines. It is located behind the Fairground. It used to be in the middle of The Naval Postgradute School Golf Course. That course is now called the Monterey Pines. Great discount if Military or Retired Military also good if retired Civil Service. Have fun when you get here. It is unforgetable

RE: Small Roads Utah

Thanks everyone. Those roads are ON for early spring. From there we will plan Co.Kan. then to St. Joseph to pick up the Missouri River and fallow it to the Yellowstone

Small Roads Utah

Tried search but came up empty. Hwy. 89 runs along 15, (Utah) is good for towing 32.5,5er, also coming back south from Moab, (Utah) on 191 then turns into 163 to Keyenta Arizona. Thanks for the info

Norh or south long term road trip

I know that some of you folks have done this trip one way or another.
What we are trying to plan is a trip that fallows the Rocky Mountains. Starting in the north with Waterton Peace Park, turn south and go to New Mexico. The other way we have in mind is to go South east to Flagstaff then turn north. We have no timeline. We are going to start early spring May 2012. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks tom

RE: Possible route from Glacier NP to Syracuse, NY(Home)

We did 2 and loved every mile. Well worth the time. Plenty of places to stay, just go on line and check your camp grounds at the general area of 350 a day plus or minus a few miles and you will be fine. We only did 250 a day. We are slow travelers. Have fun

RE: Huntington Beach, CA to Monterey, CA

We live here(Monterey Area) and travel Hwy. 1 alot. I would not travel that road with your 5er period or mine. There are places right now that are very bad due to land slides, and they are under repair. They don't want to tell you the ground is unstable. That is just one reason. My suggestion is 101. Good luck Happy Camping
