Equalization source

Does it matter if you equalize your batteries with the inverter (Magnum MS2012) or the controller (Tristar TS45)? I guess you could do either without shore power and with good sun.

RE: Single cup coffee maker amp draw

DW bought a single cup coffee maker that draws 150 amps @12v for about a minute and a half.
Bad info here, your RV is only wired for 30-50 Amps, outlets are fused for 20 Amps. If this were true (150A), it would blow all breakers. He said in the first post that it was 150 amps at 12V.
The 150 amps@12v is derived from the Trimetric.

Single cup coffee maker amp draw

DW bought a single cup coffee maker that draws 150 amps @12v for about a minute and a half. The draw is not constant but pulsates for about 20 second bursts at a time. My system is 440 amp hrs (4-6v Interstates). 1 cup is generally made around 6:00am, 7:00am and 8:00am. Has worked fine for several days when boondocking. This morning my system was down to about 92% from the night before and when I make the early cup the Magnum went off under low battery which I have set at 11.0 volts. Is this too much of a draw for battery health and/or can I lower the LBCO a little more?

RE: NEED NEW TIRES FOR 5TH WHEEL

If you travel much I would go with 17.5 rims. I have had terrible luck with 16" load range G. With 17.5" rims/tires you would go to a max rating of somewhere around 4800# per tire from 3750# per tire with GY.

RE: Removing unknown sealant from EPDM roof

Take a piece and see how it responds to acetone or laquer thinner. These are recommended for cleaning rubber roofs. I used detergent on my roof, but it was just dirty, and recall that these products were also recommended for cleaning for Eternabond application.

RE: Day Night Blinds

I called the manufacturer which was identified on the bottom rail and they sent me new string as well as a diagram on how they are strung for free. Mine are 5'x6' and took a couple of hours. Look on the bottom of the bottom rail for the manufacturer logo. Mine was Irvine Shade and Door in Elkhart, IN.

RE: Gray Tank Smell

I recommend putting a Camco (Walmart)finned vents on your kitchen and black vent stacks. Then let the tanks fill before dumping each time. This solved my problems.

If you took a 12v battery with a 20 amp fuse in the hot wire and hooked it up direct to the motor what would happen?

My Alfa is like that and the manufacturer told me not to do it because it would change the stress points of the structure.

RE: Texas Gulf Coast

We spent Easter weekend at Martin Dies State Park near Jasper, Tx. Entrance is per person per day plus camping fee. It varies from park to park. We did not pay an activity fee. Anyone interested in this area, there is a corp park on the same lake about 3 miles down the road. $9 for w/e with senior pass. We visited it and like it much better.
