RE: Garage Model vs Open Floorplan

I have a open floorplan and three years later, no smells. If there was a gas leak, then sure it would smell. Anything would. In the 15 years of riding quads, I havent had one yet that leaks gas.

RE: Garage Model vs Open Floorplan

I haul a Ranger with a lift and mud tires, 2 kids quads, and a dog kennel. Garage is not even close to an option. A camping buddy hauls 2 sportsmans in his 12 foot garage model setting side by side. If he were to have aftermarket tires, he could not fit them side by side. Personally I like the non garage models. As far as the post above about raining and pulling into your camper well the easiest solution is to buy a nice big tarp. Put the tarp down and roll on it. Clean up is as easy as pulling the tarp out.

RE: Winterize issue + What is good blowout pressure?

Dont forget if you have a water filter, that blowing out will not empty that. Did that the first year and it cracked. First camping trip after that, turned on the water and all hell broke loose. I have since completely removed it as we never used it.

RE: Winterize issue + What is good blowout pressure?

I blow mine out at 40 PSI. I found a cheap adjustable gauge at lowes and set the pressure then go to town. I leave all my caps on. Water heater is plugged but drained.

RE: JT Strongarms in dirt/sand?

I cant say I have ever camped on concrete. Love mine. Put some 4x6 blocks under them and you are fine.

RE: Wolf Pen Gap ATV Campground Arkansas

The bridge is not something I am taking my rig over. In fact its so bad, they have a "driveway" next to it that goes down into the river which is what we take our flatbed trailers through. There are too many other nicer campgrounds in the area. Heck around 1 mile down that road on the right is a much nicer campground with no shady bridges...

RE: Tie Down Ut Quad With Winch

Well, I am going to go against the grain here. Having been inside winches many times. Do note that most quad winches have plastic gears inside of them. I know the Warn folks very well and spend plenty of time with them once a year. Granted, I can not speak for them, but I would venture to guess no winch company is going to tell you this is a great idea. Winches are meant for pulling, not having a jerk on them.
I do see this quite often around here, but you will not see me doing it.

RE: New charging system needed???

Checking the specs it looks like I have an Iota 55Amp system.
I have no idea how to equalize them.
I know, I am a bad owner, but charge before a trip? :) I hook up from storage, load up, and go!
Have the loads been removed at storage? I am not sure. I push/pull the lever for the 12v power in my electrical compartment. If there is something better than this, please do share.

RE: New charging system needed???

Wow, lots of responses.
I dont boondock as of yet. Most of the places we go have hookups or I use my Onan 5500.
My biggest issue is that the batteries I have jsut dont seem to keep a charge. It seems like every time I go to storage to check things out, the battery meter is always on the lowest setting. I went out there a week or so ago and they are plain dead. I am sure I can bring them home and hook them up to a real charger and give them some life, but I am also sure they will be dead again in no time. So, I am going to buy two new batteries. With all the 12v vs 6v I read on here, my head wants to explode!

New charging system needed???

I have a 2009 WW LE505. I am looking to upgrade from a single 12V to at a minimum dual 6Vs. Do I need to upgrade my charging system? Heck I am not even sure where my charging system is!

RE: info needed on WW 3505 models

I have the LE3505 with no slides. I am not sure about 2 RZRs. My last setup I fit in there 1 RZR, 1 SP800, 1 Predator 50, 1 electric quad, a dog kennel, and was about 3 feet from the kitchen. Now I have 1 Ranger, 1 Predator 50, 1 SP90, and a dog kennel and have the kitchen area open. The Ranger is a lot bigger than the RZR was. if you have any hope of fitting them its end to end. You dont have the width to fit two.
