RE: Valve cores stick !

Good question. Same thing happened to me an hour ago. Grabbed my core removal tool and bottle of cores. Tried the gage once more and it was OK again.

RE: Intermittent 12v house power. The Disconnect Relay Soleniod?

I traced a similar problem back to my relay. Ordered a new one and got it a week later. When I opened uo the Intellitec control unit to install it, I found the nut on the connector was loose. Tightened the nut and now have a spare on hand.

RE: towing a 5200# jeep with a gas motorhome; 8.1 l wrkhrs

I used to tow my Grand Cherokee with a P32 Workhorse. No problems but I haven't spent much time in the mountains. Under normal driving conditions it was never a problem. I use an Even Brake system and haven't had any braking issues. The Jeep's gone now. Replaced it with a GMC Terrain. Not as much fun but much better mileage.

RE: One goodie you save just for camping/trips?

Pineapple upside down cake! I enjoy making it in the dutch oven but never make it at home. It's fun to watch the other campers walk by sniffing the air when its baking. If you're camping close by, you might get to try it.

RE: Cigs butts on ground, garbage in fire pit and RV patio mats

I have an open weave patio-mat and use it almost always. I don't normally stay in one spot longer than 4-5 days, but I've never pulled it up to find damage to the grass. Most places I stay, there isn't much to begin with. Keeps my rig cleaner.
I also keep my site clean and walk around just before leaving and pick up everything that nature didn't put there. Guess that's the Boy Scout in me coming back out.

That's just silly. No dog is going to be seen like that! That's why my dog insisted on contact lenses.

RE: Do RV Covers Work

It's a double edged sword. It does offer some protection, but if subjected to wind it can cause moe problems than it's worth. I bought one for our TT several tears ago. After one winter I had to patch dozens of holes in the cover and it had worn the paint off the corners of the TT.

RE: Strangest thing you carry with you

I have this small strange looking item - its bottom is sort of boat shaped, it has an electric cord, a top with a hand hold and a dial that indicates cool to hot & steam off/on. It has moved to 3 different RVs with me and it doesn't weigh much but I do not recall ever using it - perhaps I will leave it out of this one. LOL!!!!
My wife has one of these. Back in my college days, she showed me how it works. She made me a grilled cheese sandwich with it!:) It works!

RE: Macerator Hose ?

I've been using hose I picked up at the local lawn and garden center. It's 1" ID hose made for water fountains. It has a smooth bore and corrugated OD. Works great with standard barbed PVC fittings. It doesn't compress into as small of a package as the Sanicon hose, but it was less expensive. Mine usually stays in the garage since I use it to pump out at home. On the road I use the standard stinky slinky.

RE: Passing through Canada to save 120 miles?

We travel from MI to NY regularly. In the past we always went through Canada. Then with the added security, it got to the point where the the time saved in travel was less than time spent at the bridges. Have to admit, we haven't gone through Canada for a few years now. You could save time or it could be longer.

RE: Sirius/XM radio

By the way, the antenna in the MH is under the front cap in the overhead above the where the old TV was mounted. It is magnetically mounted on a 8"square of sheet metal and screwed to the underside of the steel frame. No need to put it on the roof and make holes.

RE: Sirius/XM radio

Bbozell, the station you are looking for is XM-24, Radio Margarittaville.:)
I have the Sky-fi portable. Got extra cradles and antennas so there is one in my daily driver, one in the MH and a temporary set-up I use in the Terrain (our toad). I also can plug it into a boom box type portable so I can put it outside by my chair and listen at low volumes. I also have a lifetime subscription that really makes it worthwhile as I trade vehicles.

RE: Hydraulic Jacks (No power to control unit)

Just a guess. If sitting in the cold for a long period, the oil could thicken and cause the pump to draw more power and COULD possibly pop a fuse. Again, just a guess.
