RE: Buying 5th camper from Camping world?

We had a positive experience with them - Camping World of Springfield (Stafford), MO. No problems with the fifth wheel so far either.
Well duh! You bought a keystone product ;)

..I'm sure every CW is different depending on management.
Humans are the variable. No matter where you shop, they employee humans.

RE: generator to run A/C

Should add a correction note to my post above... that 1650 watts is A/C plus the converter/charger after it has had enough time to reach "trickle" mode.
When the charger is in "first pass/full" mode, the sum total is 17.5 amps (2012 watts)....

I hate salesmen... Car/rv/boat... have never one that wasn't a douchebag.
Looking forward to meeting one that is not.. I just keep waiting.

RE: generator to run A/C

Nothing less than 3,000 watts continuous.
Incorrect. Without additional information - i.e. age/size of unit.... altitude, ambient air temps.... you really can't answer the question.
My 15.5K will run at 700ft elevation in 95+F temps and consumes only 1650 watts (running - not startup)... My Yam 2800i starts it fine.

RE: Personal Question $$$

I wonder how many younger folks know about BR549....
OWE $0 on TT & TV....
Not looking to sell or trade, but their worth is priceless.
Define "younger"?

RE: Pulling boat behind fifth wheel?

Driving a train is dangerous,....
So are knives. What's your point?
My point is it's dangerous and that is why it's illegal in many states.
I see 5th wheels and trailers swaying all over the highway every time I'm on an interstate. Attaching a boat or trailer behind would only increase the danger for all of us.
Wait...maybe I'll tow a 5th wheel and a boat and a utility trailer carrying a golf cart.
Well then, based upon your logic, knives should be illegal as well.

Worth = $0
Owe = $55,000
I can't believe you guys pony up such personal information like asked in the OP's question.
Personal info is not what some random userid has or owes... Personal information would be (for a start) your full name, mother's maiden name, SSN, full address, birth date, place of employment, etc....

RE: Downside to quieting the water pump

This is why we rarely hook up to the campground water system but prefer to fill the FW tank. Ours isn't as quiet as yours but is tolerable.
Exactly what we do and for the same reason!

RE: Cheap way to meter electrical usage? Or just guess?

Don't argue about electric service without stating the plug or receptacle type you're talking about. Too much chance for confusion with the "old" and "new" styles of RV and appliance service.
This is a good reference I keep bookmarked:
RV Electric Home Page
This is a page from that site showing what can and cannot be used for RV electric service:
RV and Appliance Service
:):)
Since the installer guy is an electrician, I take it for granted that he knows (or can lookup the nema code) what to provide for an RV.
On the other hand, most RV.net'ers immediately assume the opposite.

RE: Cheap way to meter electrical usage? Or just guess?

You about right if you run two A/C a day if it's hot out and the rest of your coach should be $9-$10 per day usage.
$270-$300 a month to run an RV? Dang... My house is CHEAP!

RE: Cheap way to meter electrical usage? Or just guess?

Make sure 'cousin' knows that your 50 amp is not 220 volts. It is two legs of 120 volts, but not wired like a dryer outlet.
Uh... 50 amps -IS- 220/240... It is wired EXACLY like a dryer outlet.
Where did you get the idea that it was not?
