RE: Is it worth it to sipe tires?

I've been driving Minnesota winters for 25 years, never once had siped tires. Never once wished I had siped tires. Siping was something my grandpa did back in the 50's when tires sucked. In this day and age it just seems like a "new" service to increase margins for a tire dealer(not that theres anything wrong with that).

RE: King Ranch Leather

I had an 04 KR super duty with 73k miles when it went the way so many 6.0's went... The leather was first rate, soft and supple, really durable, and absolutely gorgeous. I really miss the King Ranch leather. It also has a neat story behind its namesake, the King Ranch in Texas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Ranch

RE: Tires for tow vehicle

I like Toyo Open Country A/Ts and BFG ATKO's both can get an E rating. Both are nice in the snow, which I spend plenty of time in here in Minnesota.

RE: Time to Upgrade?

I dunno man, I think anything over 5 hours is a long drive. No matter what your pulling with. I do understand the new truck bug though and I'll never try to tell another person how to spend their money. Other than this, I dont think you can compare a CAI/Chipped gasser to the smooth power of a Duramax. Its just too different. JMHO

RE: 1st bad thing I can say about my new Ram

It's silly that Dodge makes it an add-on option to an HD truck. It's nuts that a dealer would order one without that option. Sorry for your pain. Its not just a Dodge thing, I've seen Ford 250's and 350's with standard mirrors as well. I even owned a chevy 2500 with standard mirrors, a 99. Makes me scratch my head. Buyer beware I guess. FWIW I hated the slip on cipas I had to use on the chev.

RE: EXAUST BRAKE QUESTION

I have a Pacbrake pxrb on my 07 5.9/48re. I love it. But.....My compressor took a dump and now its inoperable it runs but dont pump air. I'm gonna have to fix that, for now I pulled the fuse so it wont run. Whats funny is I still turn on the system because even with no air to engage the butterfly, the control still locks up the tc and I like how it drives that way. All in all i'm a little irritated the pac brake didnt hold up better.
