RE: 2004 Monaco Knight radiator

Check and measure carefully to see if yours is the same size. I know that this will fit an 05 and an 07 Diplomat. Good Luck

RE: Air Pressure for Wanli tire

You will have to gohere, find your specific tire, click on the picture of your tire, then click on size and specs. An inflation table will pop up.

DHart:::
Missed meeting you in QZ, but the best advice is to make sure to remove the little blue cap on the end of the handle before applying power,,,,,,,,,,,,,:B :p

RE: fuel tank

Guys, I really appreciate any and all who wish to contribute, but what I am really looking for is what to expect when I remove the tank. In particular, the weight of the tank when empty???

RE: fuel tank

Crudeman:
Yes, that was the first one I tried. It is basically a 2 part epoxy in paste form. You cut off the amount you think you need, then knead the paste together, (mixes it) then apply. Problem is the break in the weld is on the bottom of the tank, so you cannot apply the product before the metal gets fuel on it again. Won't stick to wet diesel fuel. :( Tried it several times.

RE: fuel tank

gbopp
Nope, tried 3 different types of JB Weld when we were down in Quartzsite in January.
Brett
Thanks, I do know how to figure out if it is steel. Had not gone that far yet. Had just hoped someone else had already pulled a similar tank out and knew roughly the weight.
Mike,
The weld around the drain plug is where it is leaking. Looks like I got one of the bad tanks Monaco had around this time frame. I know of at least 3 others that had to be done, but they were lucky and were still under Monaco warranty when the weld cracked.
Thanks everybody.

fuel tank

Has anyone here removed the fuel tank from their class A Diesel??
I have to pull mine and have a leak re-welded and am curious about the weight of the empty tank.
It can come out of the side doors built into the coach, but as I will probably be doing this by myself, I would like to be prepared.
It is a 100 Gallon tank, but I do not know whether it is aluminum or steel.
Coach type is in my signature

RE: 2002 Monaco Windsor

In '02 the Windsor was just below the Dynasty in the model line up. The '02 Windsor was the last year that the Windsor was built on the series s semi monocoque chassis with steel framing instead of aluminum in the coach framing. Some folks consider the Windsors built on the series s chassis to be very desirable because of the outstanding reputation of that chassis.
Exactly.
In 2002 it went from top to bottom as follows:
Signature
Executive
Dynasty
Windsor
Diplomat
Knight
Cayman
Those are the diesel coaches. From the Cayman on down are the gassers.
Mike.
The above is the correct line-up. The Camelot replaced the Windsor. Not sure why they did this.

RE: Monaco - rubber trim - top of windshield

Needing some help locating the rubber piece above the windshield seal on a 2005 Monaco Diplomat. I believe they called it the rain drip, or rain gutter.
Any help pointing me in the right direction will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
DougE.
Try Joe at Northwest RV Supply.
Probably be a good idea to have a pic you can send him as there may be different ones.

RE: 2011 Fleetwood Expedition DP: inverter displays in coach

The number 13.5 is the present volts in your battery(ies) or is showing your batteries are being charged. The float is the type of charge going to your batteries. Charge types could be bulk, float or absorption.
Think of the readout as a volt guage in your car. They normally vary between 12 and 14 unless something is wrong. It is the same as the guage in your car showing 13.5 volts. Shows that it is charging. There is actually (at least on my readout), 4 states of charge.
They start at "Bulk", meaning your batteries are charging at a high rate, then goes into "Absorb" or a medium rate of charge, then into "Float", more commonly known to most of us as a "Trickle Charge". On mine it will finally go to "Fully Charged", but you will probably not see this too often. If any 12 Volt item is being used, it will most likely show Float.

RE: looking at 2007 monaco camelot

looking at a 2007 monaco camelot 38PDQ -- appreciate all comments regarding experiences with this model -- seen posts that relate problems with the dometic refrig in the slide out that may or may not been fixed by dometic --
first experience buying a used unit -- what would be your list of the top 5 things to be aware of or to look out for --
many thanks for your comments --
larry thomson
07 had a problem with overheating the rear closet/bedroom. There was no way to vent hot air out of the engine compartment. Monaco installed a vent above the engine access hatch on those that complained. The fridge problem is in all MH with this fridge, not just Monaco, so you will have this no matter what brand.

RE: Starting Motor Home

I am plugged into shore power with slides out and levelers down. Can I and should I start the engine with out folding everything in?
With a Monaco product, you are supposed to start engine, air up, turn off engine, pull up jacks, pull in slides, disconnect from utilities.

RE: Screaming sound I can't figure out

We have a screaming alarm sound coming from around the dinette. (slide) There is a c o dectector near but that is different. I cut 12v and 110 but it continues. All my propane appliances are not working though we just filled last month, and tank shows half full. The tank is near the sound, but the sound cannot be heard outside. We will get propane tank filled, but it does not seem like a likely thing. Fleetwood told us there is no alarm to advise empty propane tank. The sound did start as the water heater was running, but I don't see the connection.
We have turned off everything we can find and I hand pulled at least 50 fuses. Everything that is not propane seems to work just fine.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Propane leak alarm!!! There is an alarm for the propane if it is leaking. Propane is heavy so you will find the alarm near the floor. The alarm will shut off the tank so that is why your other appliances do not work. I would be checking the propane connection to the WH, but usually the lines for those are outside.

RE: electric heater

Since you have a Monaco product similar to mine, this is what I did. My block heater is on its own 20 Amp circuit with its receptacle housed in the driver rear compartment. It has a 120V cord that hangs there but is not plugged in unless you need the Block heater. (In 6 years, I've never needed mine.) I installed a standard outdoor GFI receptacle in a weatherproof container and ran 12 guage wire forward through the wiring tubes under the coach, then in through the firewall and into the drawer cabinet under the dash. On mine there was enough wasted space in there to install a standard house remodel receptacle. That is where I plug in my electric heater.
Oh yeah, I also do not like stab connectors in a motorhome even though the manufacturers use receptacles that merely pierce the wires. Any receptacle problems and the ones that come with the rig are changed out to standard heavy duty house receptacles.

I would also contact Keith and Mike at Redlands Truck and RV. They were working with Jim up at Source last I heard. They may also "competively price" the product lower than Brazels.
