RE: Reese Dual Cam ?'s

I went with the round bar dual cam and love it. The difference is clearance and the trunion has more weight sizes. With the round bar you will have less ground clearance. For example; if your coupler is on top of the frame either is fine, but if your coupler is on the bottom of the frame, the round bar will drop down 2-4" lower than the trunion. I have a 4.5" lift on my truck and the leafs on the TT is on top of the axles, so I have alot of clearance. I went with the round bar cause it kinds of locks in place. I have read more than once when people have lost a trunion bar while in transit. As far as hookup they are both the same. I bought mine on etrailer.com and watched all the videos on how to set it up, both styles, they go hand on hand, wasn't too bad, 1 afternoon.

RE: Newbie Question about Water

I always fill up at home first, soft water. We have ran into some stinky water. We do camp at some same places but always like to go somewhere new. Its nice knowing if the water is OK. Also my truck pulls better with a full tank, less bounce. But thats my combination. My truck can pull twice the TT. Fuel mileage might not be as good, but fuel is not an issue. I would carry some at least. We have pulled over many times and used our toilet and sink, dont forget to get water for the dog.

RE: Awning smells moldy

I use a little bleach and dawn dish soap, with water in a 2 gallon bucket. Pour it on top of the awning, 3-5 batches. Roll it up and let it soak for 30-45 minutes, making sure it doesn't dry out. I make another batch and have a soft brush on a pole and gently scrub the top and bottom. Rinse. Air dry.

RE: New HD Bilsteins

I just installed (4) Bilstein 5100 and the dampner on my truck. I didnt realize my 5 year old factory shocks were shot. Rides like a new truck. Even pulled the TT over the weekend, what a difference.

RE: Round Bars or Trunnion Bars for WD Hitch?

My preference is the round bar also. I have the top mounted coupler and ground clearance is not an issue. Also read a couple people losing a trunnion bar while driving. More weight options with the trunnion though. With that said I have the Reese Dual Cam round bar setup, awesome.

RE: Replacing exhaust fan

I installed one of these. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/vortex-replacement-vent-fan-upgrade/49448 Works great, way better than the flimsy factory fan. Not taking anything away from Fan-Tastic company which I hear good things about them. I just didnt want to totally replace the whole vent and spend a bunch more money.

RE: balck water tank

Found out, my outside kitchen sink drains into the black tank. It isn't so bad, since the gray fill up 3x faster. Just would of liked to know before hand.
