RE: Truck campers in michigan?

If the Certificate of Origin is not in your name you will not be able to title the camper, at least that is the way it is in Pennsylvania. In Pa. you can title a TC but it is not required and no plates are issued for the TC. When I purchased my unit from the original owner I was given a bill of sale and the Certificate of Origin. When I tried to title it I was told the original owner had to get the title first because he has to pay the sales tax that was due on the unit. So I never I pursued it.

RE: Reinforcing Table - before converting to bed

Yes I would, and have done it. The table is only made from particle board and WILL warp after time.

RE: 7 pin to charge TT battery while driving?

I have the same truck as you. The hot wire on my 7 pin was always hot so I added a solenoid and connected it so it was only feeding the hot wire while the truck was running. I also have a truck camper and did not want to take the chance of running my battery dry.

RE: Happijac rust! (pics)

I like that plastic cap blocking the manual jack holes! Wish I had those.Silver-
I ordered a part from the company and they sent me the part and a set of those covers free. I didn't ask for the cover or even know they existed. I bet if you contacted them they would send you a set.

Need rubber seal for emergency exit window

I need to replace the the rubber seal on my Jayco for the "emegency window exit". It is shaped like a T, 1/2 inch at the base and about 1/4 inch high. Any ideas?

RE: Do you prefer my truck with black or white wheels?

I don't like either, but if I had to choose I would take the black.

RE: Northstar Kudos

I bought my camper used, but Rex has always answered my emails promptly. This is a great company to deal with.

Adding awning rail to alluminum roof

I want to add an awning rail to my pop-up slide in camper which has an alluminum roof. The seams on the roof are raised about 1/8 inch. What is the best way to build up the awning rail to have a strait run? Should I use 2 layers of putty tape under the rail? Or would it be better to run 1 layer of putty tape (against the roof) and put a 1/8 inch of alluminum under the rail?

RE: Reservations or no reservations?

I make reservations, don't want to show up with the trailer and find that there is no room. More than once I tried to make a reservation a couple of weeks in advance only to find there was no space available.

RE: awning question

I don't have room to mount it where you have yours, my window would be in the way. I would have to mount it above the canvas.

awning question

I have a popup camper so I am looking at the freedom wall mount awning. The smallest one they have to 8', still not sure if this is the size of the enclosure or the size of the fabric. Either way the legs of the awning will be wider then the base of the camper. The awning comes with 2 brackets that are connected to the bottom of the camper to support the legs, but one leg will extend past the base. Does anyone have this awning? Do you just use one leg in a carport position? Are the legs long enough to reach the ground? I ask if they are long enough because I have a Fiami awning on the rear and those legs don't even come close to use in the carport position.

RE: XM Radio Antenna Install

I put my antenna in the center of the dash and have had no problems with reception. No need to put the antenna ouside it will work just fine from inside your vehicle.

RE: Tire Pressure?

I go by the sicker on the door jam. 60 front and 45 back when empty and 60 front and 70 in back when loaded. Over inflating your tires will give you premature center wear.
