RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

You all are making me feel bad as I enjoy the warm sun in Laughlin, NV.

RE: rv show in q.

Hey Folks, on the bright side I did purchase a Steer Safe System for my MH. Total cost 415.00. I have been wanting one for a while. They even installed it. When we headed West last Monday we drove right into the Santa Ana winds, love the system, big difference in handling, even when big rigs pass. I had no problem driving with one hand on the wheel and sipping coffee with the other. This purchase was well worth the trip to Q. The Pizza at Silly Al's was the biggest highlight of the trip.

RE: rv show in q.

Hey Bob, You missed the real traffic yesterday's opening of the Big Top. You missed the great prices too. IE; Shadepro is selling the electric visors in Q for 3 for 99 bucks. In Yuma at the 32nd ST swap meet they cost 19.95 each. Really some "great" deals here in Q.

RE: Quartzsite Weekend.

we are going down to Yuma on spring break and I was wondering if I was going to have trouble getting trough town or not this year. I think the new I-210 that swings around town and avoids all the traffic may be ready by then.

RE: Another Quartzsite Question

Thanks for all the replys and suggestions. I did find out that Rice Ranch was full on hookups but had dry camping open at 7 bucks a day. I found a fhu for the 3 days we will be there.

Another Quartzsite Question

Looks like I waited too long to get fhu's in Quartzsite so I guess we'll boondock for a few days. We'll be coming in on I-10 from Tucson on the 20th. After I get off there and head South on 95 (?) towards Yuma which of the places are short term?? Only need 3 nights. How much will it cost me?

RE: Come on down, lots of room.

Good Lord people! Give your head a shake! This is the USA NOT some banana republic!! There is the rule of law in this country, even in the southwest. Stop listening to Fox News, they are using hyperbole and fear to sell comercial space. If your economic situation allows it, follow your dream of warmer weather while you still can. One of those comercials says .. "America runs on Dunkin" IT DOES NOT RUN ON FEAR! We are going on a day trip to Algodones Mx on Monday. Wish us luck! Don Don, enjoy your day in Algodones and don't worry about having any problems. Been there twice this year and really had a great time. The lines are a lot shorter coming through Customs so there is fewer folks in the Yuma area this year. Our RV park like many others here are not as full as prior years. When we came though Quartzsite 3 Dec it was no where as packed in previous years. Less vendors and a whole lot less boondockers.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Losing weight is easy for dogs! I wish I was a dog. Someone would substitute green beans for part of my meal every day and next thing you know I'd be melting away like butter.... Code2High, thanks for tip on the green beans. My Cookie actually looks better and I can see her getting a "waist" again. I can feel her ribs a lot better then before. When I find a scale I'll weigh her. Both of my "kids" love the green beans and there is no longer any food left in the dishes. They're getting the beans and their Blue Buffalo Chicken & Brown rice mixed in the morning and evening.

RE: Why do you go to AZ

A friend of mine lives here in eastern Oregon and he just can not see why anyone would leave a perfectly warm nice place called home to go down to Az for three or four months every year and live in a cramped TC or TT or 5th wheel. So what is it that attracts you to AZ?? Me,? yes I would like to go visit and have done so, I just think there's too darn many old people down there. Unless you have something to do down there such as growing a garden or a hobby like flying model planes, what do you do to entertain yourself? My wife is still teaching school so we are not able to migrate south for the winter yet, we are in the process of looking for a much larger TT with about three or four slides Because we can!

RE: Good Food in Yuma?????

Yes there is and as usual it is very, very good. Isn't there a Cracker Barrel in Yuma? We don't have them here and I am looking forward to going there soon! And right across the street from there is Penny's Diner, great place to eat.

RE: Cleaning Radiator

I've been using Dawn dish soap and it does a good job. I spray from the front and rear of a rear radiator with the CAC. I have no problems with over heating pulling Baker grade on I-15 in CA in August.

Need WIFI in Yuma

Any good suggestions on parks in Yuma, not the Foothills, that have excellent WIFI, and electric rates under 18 cents a KWH. Don't care about pool/spa, must be dog friendly, good size lot and no trees to block satillite.

OK, what's this about green beans? For my Cookie, not me she needs to lose a few lbs. She's 18 lbs and should be about 15 for a full size Shih Tzu. I'm currently feeding her Blue Buffalo, chicken & brown rice, no table scraps and the only treats she gets are a milk bone every other day. We are snow birding so I walk her and Rocky with bag dispensers, would the green beans cause the stools to become runny?

RE: Hydro Bill in South Texas - 5 wks. = $141.00 !!!!!!

Besides the electric heaters, electric water heaters and coffee makers will really suck the power.

RE: GM Dingy Caution

Here's another problem with GM, the 3.4 V-6 has been a problem for several years with the "PLASTIC" gasket failing on the intake manifold causing loss of coolant. It usually happens around 60,000 miles +. GM has known about this for years but will do nothing about it. I was going to buy a new Equilnox, but GM says it has the plastic gasket also. Over 50 years of owning GM vehicles and I won't own another. Love my new Honda.First of all, what has this got to do with flat towing GM vehicles? and second, there is no such thing as a 3.4 in the Equinox - the optional engine is a 3.0L DOHC V6. I did not say the Equinox has the 3.4.
