RE: Ft Wilderness and propane refills

Helperzack is correct. There is a service that sells LP gas in the front parking lot (southwest corner) of Camping World on Hwy 192 just west of Hwy 535. It is easy to get at with any size motorhome.

RE: Alaska travel

We did the trip last summer (part of June, all of July, and part of Aug) and were surprised at the lack of traffic. Alot of the time on the Alaskan Hwy, we felt as though we were the only ones out there. We drove from Whitehorse to Skagway and I really can't remember meeting hardly anyone. You won't have any problems finding places to stay. Do keep in mind however, that July 1st is Canada Day (their 4th of July) and then things are really jumping if you are still in Canada. We were in the Baniff/Lake Louise area and it was packed.

RE: HENSLEY IS HERE!!!!

Had one for 5 years. Bought it in 1996 and paid $2400.00 back then. It was worth every penny. If I ever go back to a travel trailer, the Hensley would be the first accessory I would buy.

RE: Will be staying in Nashville

Jellystone, Two Rivers Campground, and KOA are all right next to each other on Music Valley Drive and all 3 are nice campgrounds so you couldn't go wrong at any of them.

RE: Road Service Comment

I just received a renewal notice for my Good Sam roadside assistance membership, however, never again. I have had the service for 17 years and NEVER had to use it until this past March. I needed a tire changed on I-75 near Gainsville, Fl. and they sent the most incompetent service you can imagine. I could (and finally did)have changed the tire myself, but because of my location and hazardous conditions, I choose to use the service. What a joke. I have already spoken to a Good Sam manager about my experience and don't know what they will do about my situation, but this one "BAD" experience has been enough for me.

RE: campgrounds near green bay wisconsin

Apple Creek Campground just west of Green Bay about 20 miles. Very nice little campground that can accomodate any size RV. Been there many times. Easy to get to. Just off of US 41 north of Wightstown.

We were in Prince Rupert last summer, and yes, there is a nice RV park less than a mile from the ferry dock.

RE: Door country info please

Door County,Wis., is a very nice place to visit and enjoy. However, you will not find a campground that has direct access to a sandy beach and have full hookups. There are campgrounds that have direct access to beaches and there are campgrounds that have full hookup, but none that have both (at least not that I am aware of and we go there alot). Pennisula State Park is a very nice park and has great camping. Bailey's Harbor Campground is very nice and has nice big full hookup sites. Harbor Village is another nice campground that has a water park and small lake, but doesn't have sewer hookups. Just "google" Door county and you will find everthing you need to know.

RE: Are you going back next year?

We have tried them all(several times each), Arizona, Texas, and Florida. Florida still wins. We will be back in Florida next winter. Just so many things to do and places to go, including the Gulf or the ocean. We love Disney and go there alot and really enjoy Fort Wilderness. But, to each their own. Go where the spirit moves and enjoy, but go. Life is short and "I should have" is not an option.

RE: Wisconsin RV Parks/Resorts

Sheboygan Marsh County Park near Elkart Lake is a great campground and will accomadate your rig. They have water and electric, but no sewer at sites. They have a nice dump station however. The campground is about 20 miles northwest of Sheboygan near the Road American Race track. Very nice area.

We have been to Fort Wilderness several times for both Halloween and Christmas and I have to say, I think the decorations at Halloween are every bit as good as Christmas.

RE: Fort Wilderness: another way instead of thru Magic K. gates?

The easiest way for someone that doesn't know the area is to follow the signs to Disney World and then follow the signs to the Magic Kingdom. As stated by someone else, as you approach the parking fee booths at the Magic Kingdom, stay to the right and just tell the attendent that you are going to Fort Wilderness. He/she will flag you thru, you will make the first right and follow this road to Fort Wilderness (the entrance will be about a mile on your left side). You will not have to pay any fee going thru the Magic Kingdom parking booth.
