We had a 2005 29LRLBS and bought a 2011 29LE in the fall of 2010. They have both been great 5ers and have travelled to 48 states with no major problems. You should have many years of good memories.

RE: Irritating squealing noise from Furnace
I have the same problem and it is associated with one of my propane tanks. It squeals when that tank is getting low but has not yet switched over to the other tank. You might try manually switching the tank over and see if the noise goes away.

I would be concerned about leaving the ac on. If the unit should happen to freeze up (ice) due to the high heat and humidity you could burn up your compressor. I like a previous post of getting a de-humidifier.

We have a 2011 Silverback 29RL and we love it. The only real issue we have had is a squeak in the floor as you enter the bedroom. The dealer has worked on it and the factory has tried to fix it twice with no luck. Very minor problem and we have learned to ignore it. Good luck with your new creaker.

I would get the largest battery that you can. Regardless of how little you use it there is always a need for 12 volts. The battery is needed to supplement your converter when you are on shore power. The price difference between a basic needs battery and a higher power lead acid one is about 30%. With the load you will have you will be happier.

There is a product called Korkay Awning Cleaner and Black Streak Remover that works the best of anything that I have tried. The streaks just run off with the rinse water. For the really tough streaks just use a soft brush. One word of caution is do not let the overspray blow back into your eyes.
It is not always easy to find if you Google it you can find it. We get ours from a local RV detailing and service facility.

We have a squeak in our 5er list in our sig. We have had it worked on at the dealer and factory and it keeps coming back. The real problem is the tongue and grove of the decking. Once the unit is used the joints move within each other. We have tried bonding it to the joist with screws and glue but after a short time it comes back. We have learned to,live with it. As time has gone on the intensity of the squeak has lessened. Good luck trying to eliminate it.

With the 5er listed and the tv that is listed we get around 9.5 to 10.5 depending on conditions. The 5er weighs about 12400 when pulling. When solo we get about 15 with a combination of town and road. Just town driving it is about 13.

We bought a brand new Lexmark printer for $5 at a garage sale. It was pretty basic but was still in the box. It had come with their new computer as a package deal and they did not need it. Since then we have seen several others the same way at garage sales.

RE: Indian Creek RV Resort - Fort Myers
My parents are in the area at Palmetto Palms on Summerlin. Their park is one in that they own their lot but pay a monthly maintenance fee (about $85). They can ride their golf cart through the adjoining park and into Indian Creek. Indian Creek looks like a well kept park but I would rather own my lot. There are always places for sale in Palmetto Palms. You might check them out for comparison.
