RE: Lakewood Camping Resort

Going to Lakewood in mid June for a couple of weeks. Love MB and the 82 degree ocean.

RE: Eastern Shore, VA restaurant suggestions

X2 for Sting Ray's. We haven't been there for about 7 years but Sting Ray's used to be excellent. Got pretty crowded after 5 pm.

RE: Rehobeth Beach, De to Myrtle Beach, Sc

Rt. 58 & I-95 Emporia has a few diesel stops with easy access. As I recall it's a little pricy there. If you can make it to South Carolina you will find a lot cheaper diesel. Several places at Rt. 38 where we leave I-95 to head east to MB. Going to MB ourselves in a few of weeks.

I would go with Weathershak's suggestion. Done that route a few times coming from MB to Cherrystone or vice versa and once from Rehoboth.

RE: How much do you pay for Kuerig Kcups?

We get ours at Costco. Like others have said .50 a cup. Expensive, but I doubt we would ever switch back to brewing a whole pot at a time. Read an article back in the winter that said the patent runs out on K-Cups on September 17. Hopefully the price will come down some.

Get a 30 amp site and chill out.
X2
That's what we did in 2010 while at "The Rally" in Louisville and glad of it.

RE: Castaways vs. Frontiertown

I would suggest booking Castaways ASAP if you decide to go there this summer. The place has become extremely popular and fills fast.

Spotless Rinse System

I have seen posts on the spotless rinse systems before, but a search came up with nothing. Thinking about buying one but thought I'd check here first to see how well they work from the folks who have one. Looked at them on Amazon and E-bay. Most reviews were good.

RE: Myrtle Beach

X2 for Brookgreen Garden After going to MB for several years, we decided to visit there. Sorry we didn't go sooner now. Beautiful and very interesting place. We plan on going again this year. If you go, the boat tour is a must.

RE: Talladega Speedway

Went down Rt.77 for the fall 2010 race. 2 lane road... fairly flat and straight. Made it fine in a 40 footer with towed.

RE: Driving with generator on

Like most of the folks here are saying, run it. One of the biggest problems with generators not working properly is not running them enough UNDER LOAD. They must be given a good work out once in a while. Enjoy your new MH.

RE: Myrtle Beach Mobile Wash/Wax

In addition to the post I made above, as far as the wax, it was hand applied wax and buffed off with a power buffer. It left no swirls in the finish.

KEEP IT CLEAN RV DETAILING (843) 318-6067 Have used them a few times while at Lakewood. They did a good job. $7-$9 per ft. was in the range he charged me I think.

RE: Hello All....NJ to FL on WEDNESDAY!!

That is the route I take every year when going to Myrtle Beach. You will hit a lot of traffic lights once you get to the Waldorf and La Plata area. Try to avoid that area during rush hr. if you can. There is a nice rest area just before the Harry Nice Bridge. Several places for a pit stop where 207 and 95 meet. I also added a good web site for I-95 exit info. Have a safe trip. Good source for exit info.

RE: E-Bay / PayPay 1099's

All credit card transactions must also be reported to the IRS by the bank in which you have your merchant services account with. One thing that comes to mind are the folks that are vendors at craft shows, Christmas bazaars etc. A lot of them take credit cards , especially now that the new card readers for i-phones and i-pads are available. Looks like no one is going to be exempt from this no matter if you are making 10's of thousands of dollars off of e-bay or a few hundred selling your wares locally.

RE: Good stopover in Roanoke, VA area?

Fort Chiswell also gets my vote. About 35 to 45 min. S/O Roanoke on I-81. Flying J at exit. Easy in and out fuel stop.

Sirus/XM boom box...anybody have one???

Since DW and I retired, we don't use our car and truck that much. We both canceled our XM subsciptions. I would however like to have a Sirus/XM boom box. Thought I would be nice to listen to while relaxing under the awning of the motor home. Anybody out there have one and how do you like it??
