RE: Windows 7 laptop was updating, now blank screen!

If you can try hooking up an external monitor to the VGA port. It may come up to the setup screen.
Great idea. I'll try that. Thanks.

RE: Windows 7 laptop was updating, now blank screen!

Have you tried booting it up in SAFE mode?
The screen is completely blank. The option to boot up in safe mode does not come up.

RE: Windows 7 laptop was updating, now blank screen!

Did you first completely power down the laptop by holding the on/off button until the power light went off? Then power back on?
Yes I did.

Windows 7 laptop was updating, now blank screen!

So my Windows 7 Toshiba laptop was doing it's automatic update, and when I came back the screen was blank. I figured, no problem, I need to power it up. So I hit the power button and nothing. The power button lights up but nothing else. No hard drive light, no DVD player spinning...nothing.
Any suggestions?

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Our black tank had been draining more and more slowly and less and less completely and finally two days ago it couldn't be drained at all: pulling the outside handle accomplished nothing. And to my horror, the same was true of the grey tank. Nothing drained and even with both handles open the sewer hose stayed empty!
We use tons of water and very little paper (really thin 1-ply), plus all the correct tank tablets, so I couldn't understand this.
Finally yesterday I spent over two hours repeatedly shoving a garden hose further and further up the black tank pipe ... and I don't have to say what came out! :E And that was just the first stuff!! Kept encountering bigger and bigger clumps and finally, guess what popped out?
a thin, round plastic disc!!
Apparently when they'd drilled installation holes in the tank they didn't bother to remove the round scrap and over time it just worked its little way to total blockage.
Wonder how many other MH are out there with total constipation but a shake or bump away?! :h

Alternative for Onan Oil?

Any recommendations on an alternative to the standard Onan oil? I am interested to know if there are any full synthetic options? Thanks.

RE: Sewer hoses

My first thought: No Way!
Then I "Googled" it and noticed its features. Pretty snazzy. And it's fire proof, so if any disasterous fridge problems.... it's safe.
Rhino will do.

RE: allison transmission problem

Harv, did you ask to keep the old ECU? We were told the same thing once and it turned out to be the internal mode switch under the pan.
Glad you are back home safely!

RE: I'm so confused! Apple IDs, iTunes, iCloud for a family...

So how do I go about doing this? I authorized the MOMPC under the DAUGHTER_ID last night. But when I plugged in her iPod Touch, it warned me that the device was registered under another AppleID and I would either a) wipe out the MOMPC contents or b) wipe out the DAUGHTER iPod contents. So I chose cancel.
Ideally, I want to get all the purchases on her ID over to my account and then discontinue using her account for any future purchases.
I can answer your question. Yes, you can have multiple Apple IDs and multiple Apple devices. Unfortunatley, once you sync the apple device to a particular computer, all the purchases (music, apps, movies, etc.) stay "married" to that computer. For example, when your daughter sync'd her ipod to her pc, she cannot sync her ipod to your pc without removing all of her music and apps.
However, if you both synced your devices to the same computer from the very beginning, you would be able to share all of your iTunes purchases among the different devices.
Unfotunately, I don't think there is a way to transfer purchases from one computer to another.
This may change with iOS5 and iCloud backup.
Hope that helps.

RE: I'm so confused! Apple IDs, iTunes, iCloud for a family...

You don't need one apple ID. Any purchase can be shared with any devise that's synced to that computer.
You are absolutely right.

RE: I'm so confused! Apple IDs, iTunes, iCloud for a family...

We use one Apple ID as a family to make any iTunes purchases. We sync a iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPod touch and iPod click all with one laptop. That way we can "share" purchases between devices.

RE: iPad 1 and iOS 5.0

Did the iOS 5 update on both the iPad 1 & 2. The 2 went off without a hitch, while the 1 had to be synced and updated a couple of times. When all was said and done, iOS5 is great! Just being able to backup the iPads to iCloud was worth it. I also like the tabbed Safari browser as opposed to having to toggle between screens. Overall, very pleased.
