One has to keep a sense of humor posting on this forum. I don't think my buddy needs any driving instructions. He probably has more miles under him than everyone on this thread put together. Claims he "Doesn't Gouge on it anymore". :-)
The trailer does not "Chuck". It has 3,500 on the pin.
Sorry, Did not catch the "No Shocks" in the last line of orginal post.
Things are adding up now as trailer will bounce and continue to bounce with nothing to dampen. Nothing to control compression and then related de compression of spring. Another thought is spring strength and related travel or lack of travel during compression. More brainstorming ......Randu

Joe,
I got no plans other than sit around and watch boats float. There are 2 other couples from Jackson that will be around. One will have lots of family in and out. I always hit the Farm market downtown on Saturday morning. Shereen and I won't be getting in until late Wednesday as I ended up having to work.

I agree with others that the condition described relates more to the way the trailer is being towed than a suspension problem with the trailer. If the description was more along the lines of stuff "walks" and moves in cabinets and fridge than I would be more inclined to look at suspension upgrade. I traded a year ago from a Newmar with normal pin box and leaf springs to current rig with Trailair center point and with and Trailair Pin box. Nothing moves unless very bumpy road or evasive maneuver. My opinion is the air pin box make the biggest difference but hard to really tell since I went from neither to both. Not 1 and then the other for a better comparison. Randu

Good sign that things are picking up. Shereen has a friend that lives out side Atlanta and same kind of action. Listed and showed in the first few days and then a offer and counter offer. This deal fell through but 2 more showings are scheduled for this weekend.
I spent the morning and installing the lock cable and relocating the break away switch from the Hocking Hills adventure. Helped Shereen with the flower beds and vegetable garden. Time to sit back and watch the all star race.

Got home at 1:30 with just a few quick stops. Decided to just stay in the trailer so no unloading other than dirty laundry. Had some lunch and then rode our rail trail 14 miles. Door prizes raffle was fun and thanks for the effort. Randu

If you want full "Resort" type camping then Evergreen is excellent but also has $50.00 per night rate. Normal camping rates without pool and the glitz makes Scenic Hills a choice with many. I am going to try them for 3 nights in 2 weeks starting May 10th. Randu
Here is a follow up. I'm at Scenic Hills and what a value! No bathhouse or pool but I'm on a very nice full hook-up site with excellent Wi Fi for 1/2 the price of Evergreen. Question is do you want to pay for a bathhouse and a pool in your nightly rate?

Just spent last 2.5 hours washing roof and slide out covers. What a pain. That was the one thing that Newmar really did right was they used a TPO roof that did not mold and cause black streaks. Huge step backwards on this EPDM roof. I was in a place a few years back that was just off the Berlin main drag. Think it was called Farmstead. Randu

I've been so busy at work that I may need to cut back to just Friday and not Thursday but I don't want to miss Mrs Yoders. Whats the easy way in? 23-30-250 like I'm going to Evergreen and then turn at Mt Hope Rd between Apple Creek and Mt Eaton? Other ways without narrow roads and hills? Randu

We went to Mattress world with the measurements and they had one made for us at a very good price. We bought the same mattress as what we have in our home, so we sleep great in both homes.
We also have the same mattress in house and RV. In my case I needed a king that was 6" narrower than standard, length was ok. $50.00 up charge for custom. Check your local mattress stores to see if they can get custom sizes. Many big box or chain stores won't so you are looking for a place that deals only in mattresses. Randu

I have had to use the Woodalls entrance since Friday. Only was able to use the regular RV.net entrance once and that was when I put up the pictures.

Decided to freshen up the truck for the first official rally so had both of the Allison trans filters changed and new fluid. Bad leaks on both side exhaust manifolds fixed and then shined up and added graphics.
Truck is as fresh as a shower and clean underwear !

RE: How far from Detroit?
We're at Portage Lake campground, in the Waterloo Recreation Area (exit 150 on I-94)right on the lake and there are 8 RVs in 150 spaces. That should be about a 2 1/2 hour drive from you.
One of my favorites. 15 miles from work so I can camp without vacation days but still get the calm relax camping feeling in the evening. Gets busy on the weekends but should be able to get a site easy until closer to Memorial day. Some sites have paved pads and 50amp. Most are grass and 30 amp. Many with a view of the lake through the trees nice places to walk. Randu

I have 56 right now and high today is supposed to be a few degrees wamer. Tonight down in mid to upper 20's. Tommorow around 50. It really depends on the actual layout of the plumbing. I would open all facuts and low point drains to get as much water as you can out of the system. This should leave enough room for expansion if water started to slush up or freeze. Chances are that the trailer would retain enough heat from the day to keep the inside above freezing during the night. Randu

I did the same thing about 5 years ago. Walked into the local dealer who I have purchased lawn mowers, snow blowers, leaf blower, etc and walked out with Honda 2000 at internet pricing. No problems getting parts, advice, or service. Randu

board him at a nice kennal, its safer for him, and you,ll enjoy your trip alot more . the TT is to hot ,the bed of the truck very unsafe . think about it??? who wants to baby sit a big dog.
100% Agree as we kennel our dog when conditions or distance will not be comfortable for the dog. (She is treated better than I am) Randu
