RE: Do I have enough Truck

Can you tow it? YES
Can you tow it SAFELY? NO
...and as someone else already stated would not be for me

I'd be more concerned about down hill / mountain speed and getting it stopped...

RE: lube plate makes unhooking more difficult ?

Run the landing gear down until most of the weight is off the truck... pull the lever to unlock the Jaws... if it's in a bind, move the truck back just a little... pull the lever and release the jaws... now raise the pin/trailer until it clears the hitch and pull the truck forward.. :)

RE: Dexter EZ Flex question

Hey... we've all got different skill levels... I used a press and felt like it really made the job easy. Glad you're able to do it without having to purchase a tool.

RE: Dexter EZ Flex question

Yes, yours definitely needs to be replaced, overly compressed and full of cracks.
Your tires will be closer together than they should be (still say you shouldn't need a ball joint press to remove a bolt though!) ;)
There's a difference between "need" and "no problems" pressing a bolt/bushing out and in.

RE: Left the trailer with the black tank wide open

I'd be more concerned about the gasket on the slide valve drying out... make a call to the campground or make the drive... having to replace that valve will be the worst option..

RE: Lights Dim every so often

When running down problems go from the cheapest to the most expensive:
1st check the battery to be certain there's water in all the cells. A cell that is low on water won't charge correctly. You'll get the converter cycling on and off and causing the lights to dim.
If the cells are full then pull the battery and have it tested. Any battery shop can quickly tell if there's a bad cell and the battery needs replace.
If the battery checks then probably the converter.

RE: Trailer unlevel after set-up. I want to correct it properly.

Here's my $0.02 worth. I would rehitch the truck and get the front jacks up enough to put good footers under them. Lower the rig and unhitch. Use a bottle jack to raise your left side tires enough to put something solid under them that will relevel the rig side to side and not allow it to sink any further.
X2... except, I wouldn't unhook and lower the front feet until I had the correct amount under the wheels. Jacking one side up with the front feet down can put stress on the oppisite landing leg.

RE: Pack wheel bearing on fifth wheel

EZ lube is a great idea that doesn't really work. However, nobody believes that until they take apart the wheel and find grease all over the brakes (which still work fairly good surprisingly). How do I know this? I learned it the hard way. :o

RE: 5th Wheel bike rack

I had my bikes on a Thule Rack in back receiver. Welded and strong, but there is a lot of bouncing and stress in back.
I now have the same rack in a receiver bolted to the pinbox. No stress, works great and inexpensive to build.

RE: jacking up a 5th wheel

Yep, hook up. Otherwise, all the forward weight will be on one jack foot up front.

RE: wet bolt help

You may have to rotate the bolts with weight off the suspension to get the grease in.
I have read several post about this problem over at the HH Forum. This is how most solved the problem.
Don
The bolts have a serration around them that will be damaged if turned after they are pressed in. You might be able to press them out and then turn them, but very doubtful if you can advoid damage to the shackle.

RE: Stabilizing my rig

You're sitting on 4 baloons and 4 pcs. of spring steel. Stopping all movement takes a sizeable investment. Sure you'll get some good suggestions on here... I didn't find wheel chocks to be much help on stopping movement.
