RE: Do I cancel AAA?

I really don't see a lot of differance between AAA and GS. We had a flat tire at a campground and I had AAA, GS and at that time Coach Net (because I got a free year of this when we bought our RV) I chose to call AAA. They showed up about 2 hours later although they were only blocks away. After he looked at the tire he said that he didn't have a jack big enough to raise the 5th wheel and it is only a small 5th wheel. He used my jack to change the tire. I told him that maybe I should have called GS and he stated that it would have made no differance as he also towed for Good Sam and Coach Net. A relative of ours owns a very large towing company and he also tows for all three of these and he too says that he treats all of them the same. I canceled out GS and now only have AAA and have been very happy with them. They will tow my RV to any place I choose (even my home ) within 200 miles so I can choose who works on my RV ( even myself at home if I choose)and not have to go where GS says it will go. Look around and when they say they have special equipment for towinng your RV, a lot of times it also means that AAA also has the same towing company...

RE: Towing Insurance?

I have both AAA Premier RV and Good Sam ERS. In May we were at a campground when I noticed a cut in one of the tires on the 5th wheel. I call AAA and they sent a truck out to change the tire. It took app 1 hour even though they were less than a mile from where we were. When he got there he sat in the truck for 30 minutes before even looking at the tire. He then said that he couldn't change it because the jack was too small and would not go up high enough to raise the tire off the ground and that he didn't have any boards or anything to place the jack on. I had two boards and a fellow camper had two so he used them to place the jack on. I told him that maybe I should have called Good Sam and he said that it wouldn't matter as he did ERS for Good Sam as well. So much for the saying "We send people that knows and can handle RVs and have the right equipment."

RE: UPDATE: Prostate cancer at 44

Had this surgery in 2007. Had a checkup every 6 months and starting in May it will go to once a year, so far everything is going great. I know what you are saying about the catheter but it doesn't last long until you will get rid of it and this is a small price to pay to get rid of the cancer. Good Luck and God Bless !!!

RE: Bill Dance Fishing

Have fished with this guy for a day on the Mississippi. He keeps you laughing all day long. It was a day I will always remember. He is still one of the best and we had a very good day fishing. ( and laughing)

RE: Truck Back Camera...

My intentions were to have the camera to show the 5th wheel hitch and help with hook up and this part works great but when you are not towing the 5th wheel and the tri-fold cover is laying flat, it is not good for just back up as everything seems so far away....portablevcb ---Where was the camera mounted in the tailgate of your old truck ? Thanks

Truck Back Camera...

Where is the best location to mount a back up camera on your truck? This is not the lic. plate type of camera, itm is app 3" wide and 3" high. I have the camera mounted on my trailer but am lost as to where the best place on the truck would be to put one. I have the tri-fold top on the truck bed and made a mount that fit on the front of the bed ( center of the back window) and stuck up above the top when folded but this is not working as when the top is flat it looks like everythng is so far away and if the sun hits the top it washes the picture out. Any help will be apprecdiated....Thanks
