Tire Upgrade
I have a Keystone Laredo 29rl with 15in. tires. Its time to replace and I would like to upgrade to aluminum wheels and 16in tires. I would like to here pros and cons from those who have upgraded to a bigger tire, and where you purchased from.

RE: Pin mounted bike carrier & short bed truck?
I have a 05 GMC 2500hd short bed with a manual slider. I mounted the reciever on my pinbox, put the bike carrier on, and there was no way it was going to work. If I had an auto-slider I think it would work with no problem.

Foothills RV. We normally stay at River Plantation, but could'nt get a res. one time when we were off. A freind suggested Foothills RV. It is a small campground in Pigeon Forge, but it is the cleanest and neatest campground we have ever stayed in. By the way, we go to Ocean Lakes every year and love it.

I replaced the batteries on my golf cart last year with the walmarts. They may not be as good as trogans, but at 70% of the price of trogans they only have to last 70% as long. So far so good.

I just made one for ours and it was 25 degrees. My dad's Sandpiper was the same. I have the same truck as you. I was going to use it to carry bikes part of the time and a honda 3000 generator part of the time. Both were to close and will hit my cab.
Do you have any pictures? I suspect your front cap sticks out further than others and that is why you don't have room for one of these racks. I am not 100% positive how far my front cap sticks out, so I am going to have to wait until I can get it home and do some measuring.
I don't have any pics right now. I will be off the next couple of days. I will try and get some to send you.

We have a 30ft 5th wheel that weighs about 10500 loaded. I live in east TN where you are always on a hill. Mine is at its limit. I do make one trip every year to Myrtle Beach where we also pull a 5x8 trailer with our golf cart on it behind our 5th wheel. My truck does struggle with this in the mountains, but not enough for us to think about trading for this one trip. My previous truck was a Dodge diesel. Myself I prefer a little less power and a whole lot less noise.

It may not be just the $60 or $80 in extra fuel on the trip. Some people like myself are coming up a little short all the way around because of spending more on fuel, grocerys, etc. before vacation time. We will cut back where we can to still make our vacation happen.
