RE: Wineguard wingman effectiveness !!

I am not sure I would do it if it was that hard. I did notice a difference but not that much.

RE: campground with services near Bremerton, WA

I would stay on bainbridge island at the state park. Ferry in shorter than bremerton and very close to the state park.

RE: Ethical behaviour, or just par for the course.

I left a pack of beer in the fridge last weekend at the resort I checked out of in Vegas. I bet the maid does not leave it for the next guest.

RE: PD4655 & maximum wire AWG ?

If I had a do over in upgrading my converter in my TT I would buy the 9260 and mount it in the storage bin right up front by the batteries and tap into the bedroom AC. Much easier than running heavy wire through the TT. Also no voltage drop with the 2-3 foot run.
I would have disconnected the WFCO and left it in place in case I needed a backup converter.
Just food for though on anyone upgrading in a TT or a 5th. Actually this would have worked in my last MH as well...

RE: We find a second outside water hose very useful

I have the outside faucet that has a quick disconnect for a hose. I can use hot or warm water for washing feet, hands etc. It also works great for putting out campfires.

RE: 1/2 chain link possible??

The head tilt is how to fine tune your hitch. It does not take much head tilt to get it right and it is pretty easy.

RE: Considering upgrade from TT

I went from 24' class c to 30' TT. I like the trailer a lot better even though it is harder to set up. I really like having the TV to drive rather than the class C. (I did not have a toes).

RE: Chevy 454 Dually Vs Ford 460 Dually

I really like my Chevy 454 K3500, but I would buy the truck that was in better shape and better maintained. If they are the same i would buy the one with more comfort or features I want.

Put it in D then at freeway speed change it to 3 and see if the rpm changes if you want to confirm it is locked out or not.

RE: Generator noise: What I heard

Also 3000 watt gens are much quieter than 2000 watt units. I have a Honda 3000 and it is always quieter than the 2000 units on a similar load.

RE: need a new AC panel?

The melted black plastic is what the original neutral buss bar was attached to. The new buss bar does not look isolated from ground and needs to be isolated.
This looks like my old Minni Winni panel. I actually had a huge wire nut I attached the neutral to and it seemed to work fine with no heat.
The biggest problem with the buss bar is that vibration causes the wires to get loose. Then there is voltage drop due to bad connections causing heat causing the melting you see in your box.
It is serviceable but since you are looking for a replacement converter you might look at Best converter for a whole replacement power distribution and it will not be much more than a replacement converter.

RE: Fresh tank full during travel - Fuzion says no?

For what it's worth, there have been LOTS of people reporting water tanks falling out of their trailer COMPLETELY and that's with brands that do NOT recommend against the practice. I'm guessing that if the manufacturer recommends against it, they know something about how the tank is attached/supported that influences their opinion.
Ummm What are the tanks for then? If they are not tough enough to use full then they should be smaller. Seriously. What would you EVER do with a 100 gallon tank if you cannot drive with it full?
If I called my trailer MFG and asked if I could drive with the water tank full and they said no I would challenge them as well. Why would they ever design a tank to be heavier than the supports it can hold up?

RE: New SAE standards for tow vehicles

As I understand it this is not a test the user would normally perform but rather one the manufacturer would do.
This will standardize the towing capability numbers the builder advertises so the consumer can make apples to apples comparisons instead of relying on the inflated marketing claims currently being published.
Agreed. There are many tests only the manufacturer would do. I would also recommend not doing the test where the vehicle is slammed into a concrete wall to determine how successfully the passengers will survive.
