RE: Removing day/nignt shades from behind cabinets

Same thing with my Pace Arrow. Go to Lowes or Home deport and buy a 24 inch long screwdriver. Reach up with your hand, push the shade out of the way (a little) and feel where the screws are at, most of the time there are only two, one on each side that holds the shade up tight with the celling. Once you locate the screws, use the long screwdriver to remove the screws. Unclip it from the center clip and it will fall. Replace the shade the same, you minght miss the old screw holes, don't worry about that, just make new.

RE: Flush toilet = sewer smell. Suggestions

Just clean your tank out. Just before you leave the campground, flush out your black tank with water several times (fill it ALMOST to the full mark and dump). Then fill tank 1/4 full of water, whole bottle of pine-sal and just before you drive out of campground put two bags of ice down the toilet. When you get to the next campground dump that mix and your tank will be ok. The ice driving down the road helps to remove any hard stuff that sticks to the walls and bottom of the tank.
If you take your rig in for this at a RV service center, the first thing they do is flush out your tank, put 50 pounds of ice down the toilet, drive your rig a few miles around then charge you $80 for "cleaning your black tank" listed on the bill.
Good luck

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

Eddie
I got to ask, how did you get a P/A in Ireland?
I had the same problem under warranty (years ago) and I was told they do not work on them and ordered me a new motor. If the motor still works you can do what I had to do until I got the new motor. I made two bars from water pipe that can be screwed out to fit tight between the inside wall and slide out. I would lay the pipe on top of the slide out on heavy rags so they would not damage the slide out also so it would not come loose, roll off the top of the slide out and hit someone as you are driving down the road. If you are going to do this for a long time, they sell the slide out bars. I just had the water pipe laying around and it was only two week wait for a new motor.
Good luck

Also, if I remember right, I believe there was a reset button or a inline fuse at the converter.

RE: Replacements for defective Shurflo 5.7 pumps

They are a pain but as long as they replace them under warranty, I 'll stay with it. I just replaced mine last summer, I call the rv parts store, took my old one in the store they did not even look at it just took a new one from the back and gave it to me. This time it was differant, it worked good but water was coming out of the little door where all of the wiring goes in. This is number 4 for me in 8 years.

I just took my old detector to the RV parts store and they matched up the wires to the old one. Don't remember the name of the detector.

RE: Is that all there is????

I see no jobs listed for Ohio on workamper.com as of today...
Just looking at the January/February 2012 Workamper News Mag and it has Three Ohio Rv Parks with jobs listed. One of the ads is from the Ohio RV park that posted a Workamper job here.

RE: tv as rear view monitor

That would be cool if you could. With a 32 inch TV you could count the bugs on the tow vehicle windshield. ;)

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

New graphics: One side of our our 2004 PA had pretty faded and cracked graphics. I was able to purchase replacement graphics from Fleetwood and had them installed locally. Turned out great and I feel like the coach looks new again.
Meme
Got to ask where did you get it done (Kentucky ?) and what did the graphics cost?

RE: Flying J "Dedicated" RV lanes

You have to remember that there are a lot of people in this world that don't even know what day of the week it is. A lane for RV's to use is WAY over their head's.

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

Chassis battery constantly draining.
I went and bought a brand new interstate chassis b attery after the old one died. For some reason my Chassis battery keeps dying though. I have the Coach plugged into shore power at all times but still the battery keeps dying.
I have a 2006 Pace arrow 37c. can anybody shed some light on this issue?
Thanks
PS. I dont have anything running that could drain the battery (maybe i do but just dont know it)
Hi, Interstate makes a very good battery, they are what I always use in my P/A and my golf cart. But, that being said, sometimes there is a bad new battery. If you have not checked your new battery, I would start there. Not just a volt meter check but a load test. If you don't have one, I would pull the battery back out and take it to Interstate and let them run a good test on it.
Good luck and lets us know what you find.

I have the 5.7 and replaced it three times 8 years. When it works it does work very well.
OK, if you would have to replace the 5.7 next time it goes out, What pump would you replace it with???

RE: Moisture inside on windshield

Do all of the above and I put a small 6 inch fan on the dashboard facing the windshield. I leave the fan on with the curtains open and when the curtains are closed. You will notice the fan will help a lot even when the curtains are closed. Leave the fan run all night. You can get the fans at Wal-Mart.

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

I have a 2004 pace arrow and we love it, that being said has anyone installed or attempted to install hard wood floors in a similar coach? is it a do it yourself project or better to pay a professional?
Let us know how the new floor works out and how you did it.

RE: looking for owners of 2004-2005 Pace Arrows

This year I am going to store my PA in cold country. I am going to have a RV Shop to winterize my PA. My question is there anything extra I can do to help getting the PA through the cold winter in Ohio. It will be out in the open with no electric so I was thinking about a RV cover, is a cover needed to keep snow off the top? What about gas treatment?

RE: Workhorse Chassis Air Filter 8.1

Seen this question in many forums. Most say the foam filter is just a prefilter and can go without it. One thing is make sure you get the right paper filter for the 8.1 that fits tight in the filter box without the foam filter. The paper filter used with the foam filter is 1/8 inch smaller all around without the foam filter. So make sure the replacement fits tight or dirt and/or rain could get around it. (I use the foam/paper filter, if GM spend extra money in the 8.1 there must be a good reason)
