RE: High altitiude engine adjustment(s) for better performance?
After driving all day, we arrived in Denver and experienced, for the first and only time, good ol' vapor lock. Had to sit by the side of the road for 15 minutes, then the Windy drove fine.

No tail lights or rear marker lights
I have a 2004 Southwind on the Workhorse chassis. I have no rear lights or rear marker lights. The brake lights and turn signals do work. Is it possible for one burned out bulb to cause these lights to not function, much like some Christmas lights?

Okey dokey. Problem solved. Thanks everyone, for your comments and suggestions. Turns out the connections to the starter were 'cruddy'. Lots of rust 'n caked mud from fording a flooded muddy creek in Palo Duro canyon a couple years ago. Once them connections were cleaned.... we got ignition!

Everything works. Voltages are above 12 and below 15.

Owning a timeshare can be a real pain. Just try to sell one! Also, the maintenance fees, membership fees, or whatever, are your debt forever. The debt can even become a financial liability for your heirs.

RE: Southwind hitch receiver height
For about 4 years I towed a Saturn that was waaaaay lower than the Southwind's hitch. There seemed to be no problems, but I started hearing how bad it was to do that, so I got a dropper when I bought the Tribute. Now the Blue Ox is level, but I swear I get more forward/backward jerking than I did before I put on the dropper.

Sir, you got that right about the bed bugs!
We've been RVing since 2001 and I always say that at least with the RV, there are no bed bugs and I always know who was in the bed last night and what they were doing in it!
A while back, we decided to stay a night at a name brand hotel. It was late at night when I noticed a bed bug crawling toward me on my pillow. I checked the bed and found numerous bed bugs AND ticks between the two mattresses. Ick!! Apparently some pheasant hunters (and their dogs) had been in the room before us.
After that, I always check the beds on the few times we stay in a hotel or a condo.

Starter Won't Engage
I've been trying to start my 04 Southwind on the Workhorse W22 Chassis for a couple days now. The starter will not engage. Even using the switch to draw power from the house batteries results in ...... nothing. All batteries are charged. Doors shut. Slides in. Awning stowed. Jacks up. Parking brake on. Tranny in park.
Anyone have this issue come up and what was the cure? Hate to think what a tow is going to cost!

Received unsolicited cd from Good Sam
Today, I received an unsolicited cd from Good Sam. And they expect me to return it if I don't want it. What an imposition. Imagine if every advertiser did that. I'm canceling if Good Sam does that again.
