RE: Gas Stops - Good Sam Alaska Caraventure

We went with Good Sam on that caraventure in 04 and fuel was no problem. We fueled up each day before setting up camp and most had a discount with the campground. As for distance if I remember right it was only about 200 to 250 miles per day or less between stops with one day of 300. It was a great trip and we realy enjoyed it. Have fun

RE: US-2 from East Glacier to UP of Michigan

We drove that route a couple years ago. Good road although it can get windy. You may want to get reservations at any campground from Williston to Minot ND if you plan to stop in that area due to the oil boom.Places we stopped that route Prairie Acres Williston,Oakwood Inn Rugby,Royal Oaks Bemidji all FH campgrounds. Have fun

RE: RV parks in Beatty, NV

Death Valley Inn RV park is the best in the area very clean restrooms and showers both have rooms for each the park is clean, friendly, quite FH park. The other parks in Beatty one in town will be very tight for your size of rigs and has mostly permanent guest and is an older type park. Beatty RV Park just north of town is just ok gravel sites clean, friendly but right on the Hwy. so some truck noise and the hot springs campground just north of this one is old and the only attraction would be the hot springs. Have fun

RE: Rye Patch State Recreation Area- Lovelock, Nv

Nothing there no HU's and not much shade it's a state park with water located in the park it would be dry camping for the night. For another 45 mins. you could be in Winnemucca with a number of FH campgrounds and places to eat. Have fun

RE: Bishop, Mammoth, Yoesemite Advice

The weather can be iffy in April we are just getting a couple storms this week. Lone Pine has a nice RV park Boulder Creek It is a FH park clean and friendly with a small petting zoo for the kids. There is an old movie museum in town and you can drive to the old locations where a lot of old westerns were filmed. In Mammoth there is a FH park on the left just before you enter town Mammoth RV Park I think is its name.In the area is Devil's Post Pile Nat. Mon. and lots of lakes and streams for fishing. For a short day trip the visitors center at Mono lake in Lee Vining is interesting, for a full day trip just a few miles up the road is Bodie ghost town one of the best kept secrets in the west. As far as taking Hwy. 120 to Yoesemite it will more than likely still be closed. Have fun

RE: After Good Sam Rally in Phoenix Not Going Back To California

RV2go has a good route however I might suggest taking 118 37 miles east of Van Horn this will take you to McDonald observatory and Fort Davis you could stay in Fort Davis or continue to Marfa 21 miles or stay in Alpine 25 miles Lost Alaskan RV park in Alpine is a good one then make the loop through Big Bend back to 90 and continue RV2go's route. Have fun
