Thanks for clearing that up, KartRacer. I sure hope Biff wins a few races, this year. Rebecca

RE: Daytona 500

Can you imagine if you were camping on the infield? You're screwed if all the beer and food are gone today and you didn't plan for Monday. You can leave to purchase more food and beer. No problem!

RE: Thinking About Calling It Quits

What I am having a hard time with is your complaining about the fuel when you are still restoring a pick-up truck and paying someone else no less to do the work-Can not figure out if your fulltimers or not but there is a lot of us running older gassers and enjoying it and not on good retirement checks but SS-driving less and enjoying the surrounding country side more-Think hard on your decision-maybe add a hobby both of you can do like metal detecting or geocaching you can can stay at campgrounds longer to fullfill your hobby--HAVE A HAPPY DAY ANYWAY-RICH First off I am not complaining about fuel prices, I really was just thinking out loud and put my thoughts on paper. As far as for the 46 Dodge it is sitting in storage, I have not spent one dime on it in over 4 years. I elected not to finish it so I could put all my money towards traveling. There is really more involved than I can put in my post at this time. I probably will try to keep my RV for the time being as it is the only place I have to live for now. We pretty much been just about everywhere there is to go, so it is not like I will not get to see many places. I just enjoy traveling. Ronnie

RE: Thinking About Calling It Quits

Being fulltimers we do not have a house, only the motorhome. On my retirement I cannot afford both. There are some more equations that are figuring in on my decision also. If I cannot resolve them I probably will not have any choice in the matter. Ronnie

Thinking About Calling It Quits

As I sit here pondering my future, I am seriously thinking about selling our motorhome and calling it quits. I just do not see anything improving in the future to allow us to travel as we would like to. When I retired in 2004 I never dreamed that our economy would go down the drain as it has. With fuel prices projected to go through the roof this summer, most of our money will be spent on fuel not leaving much left over for anything else. Some people have suggested work camping, but after a few days I start getting itchy feet. Is anyone else having reservations about future RV travel as I am? Ronnie

Radiator Question

I am having some problems with my radiator. I have a 99 Imperial with a 350 cummins and a side mounted radiator. As long as the coach is running everything is fine, but as soon as I turn it off I get a steady drip from under where the radiator is mounted. Has anyone ever had this problem, or maybe Someone could shed some light as to what may be wrong. Thanks, Ronnie

RE: Winnebago Adventurer 2000 to 2003 models

I've never had an Adventurer, but have always admired them. I really liked the large bedroom slide some of them have. I have had both the Ford Triton and the Chevy 8.1 with the Allison, and in my opinion the Chevy/Allison wins hands down. The Ford is a good combo, but you seem to get more engine noise with them. The Chevy/ Allison seemed more quieter. The only drawback I see with the Chevy/Allison is the Workhorse brake issue. (which I have heard they have resolved). I do not think you can go wrong with either one of them. Of course this is my personal opinion, I am sure there will be someone who disagrees with me as usual. Ronnie

RE: Flying J...Rv Plus Card

From what I have seen in my travels, the discount they give you will bring them more in line with the competition. They are consistently higher on their diesel prices than any of their competitors. Ronnie (Looks like it is time to try some workcamping)

RE: Congrats Bama!

According to the sports news channels yesterday, that was the last championship game under the existing BCS guidelines. Next year will be a whole different format......Yeah, right, I'll believe it when it comes to be....:B I look forward to reading more about this... The Tide did Reauxll, Monday night, I was very proud of them! Rebecca

RE: Now I know why our fuel costs are high

Here is a great link to get the latest Gas New everyday. I have it bookmarked on my toolbar, and read it every morning. I read this same article several days ago at this website. Ronnie link

Diesel Fuel Reformulator

Has anyone had any experience using the Diesel Fuel Reformulator? I read about some on a Gas Buddy website, and was curious if it worked. Thanks, Ronnie

RE: Workhorse Chasis

We had a 2004 Monaco LaPalma on the W22 chassis and had 79K of pretty much trouble free miles(minus the usual brake problems). We lost it in in 2009 on our way back from Nova Scotia, due to a fire which started in the left rear brake caliper. I really believe if I could have made it to have the recall repairs made I would still be driving it today. With the price of diesel I wish I would have bought another one instead of the DP we have now. Ronnie
