RE: Roadtrek on Chevrolet frame

If its on the Dodger chassis, make sure you give it a good test drive, especially when being passed by trucks going 50 or more. Some of the Dodges of that year had handling problems, which could contribute to the low mileage.
Also, if you haven't read the FAQ's at the top of the "B" home page, check them out for some good info.

RE: Deleted thread?

So, let me get this straight, you want a Moderator, who already gives up a lot of his, or her free time, to send a PM to everyone who makes a post in a thread, that gets deleted :E Are you going to pay for their overtime? :W

RE: Seeing Arizona

So we went through and made a list of interesting places everyone recommended. We have seen everything north on I40 so didn't list much up in the north country. I will spend the next couple of weeks with my map and mark all of these places, and then see if we can tie them together. I now know that 30 days will not be enough, And we only have 48 more states to do this for. Not taking the RV to Hawaii so don't need to list it. Again thanks everyone for all the ideas, I think we will have some fun...I know a list like this would never be completed but you can't do it all in 30 days.
1. Meteorite crater
2. Lost Dutchman State Park
3. spache lake is great for kayaks
4. Tombstone and the OK corral
5. Chiricahua Mountains east of Tucson
6. Phoenix, Botanical Gardens and to the Natural science Museum
7. Bisbee and see the mine and the old town
8. Kartchner Caverns
9. Lee's Ferry on the Colorado River south of Page & have your kayak towed to the base of Glen Canyon Dam & spend a day floating back down the river.
10. Sonora Desert Museum
11. Old Tucson movie location in Tucson
12. Arizona Sonora Desert Museum west of Tucson
13. Indian ruins at Walnut canyon
14. string of lakes from Roosevelt to Canyon
15. Chiricahua National Monument near Wilcox
16. Titan Missile silo in green valley,
17. south of Cottonwood, AZ we stayed at Dead Horse Ranch State Park
18. Lake Saguaro
19. kayak on the Salt River
20. Roosevelt Lake and take the kayaks out
21. St Anthony's Greek Monastery
22. Cave Creek - Carefree area
23. Yuma territorial prison state historic park
24. Walnut Canyon National Monument just east of Flagstaff
25. Montezuma Castle National Monument
26. Wupatki NM
27. Mongollon Rim Country
28. Highway 89A and the Vermillion Cliffs
29. Painted Desert
30. Verde Canyon Railroad
You left off one of the best, the Pima Air Museum.

RE: Towed jeep just fine, but then battery was dead

I think I posted about getting a wiring harness, for the Wrangler, in one of those threads. You need to power the brake lights, tail lights, from the TV. I'm guessing you don't have the harness, and are using the Jeeps battery for the lights.

RE: Might as well ban them all

Not always true, unless it is a static ip, it can change often. My Comcast ip changes all the time, and what about members sharing an ip, like at work, etc. What if they post from Starbucks, Safeways, etc. Administration is not going to ban a member unless they know for 100% they have the right member. I'm just saying its not as easy as you think.

RE: Might as well ban them all

no need for a software change,
If it's always the same few people, then the answer is simple. Pull them aside and warn them, and then remove them if need be.
Simple.
What's to keep them from coming back under a different name?

RE: Closed Topics Discussion

This was the Mods reason for closing that thread. Follow the rules and the threads will stay open. You have posted this "Closed" topic in, I think, 3 different forums, which is a violation of the rules. What is your plan, to keep posting this in a different forum, until someone agrees with you?
"The thread being referred to was political. Several of the most inflammatory posts were deleted and then it was closed.
The request by the OP that it be closed was insightful on his part, but the final decision was mine.
Forum Rules:

RE: Class B Profit Margin

One thing to remember is RV dealers, are not like car dealers, they are independent businesses, and can set what ever price they want. The factories have no control over their price just as they have no control over a dealer who refuses to do warranty work on a unit not purchased from them.
i would think what the manufactures make from their retailers varies depending on model year, time of year, number purchased, etc, that I would not even try to put a % on it.
The way to get the best price is just do research. You should be able to get a good idea what a fair price is, then be prepared to do a lot of haggling. You should always be able to get a better deal at certain times, like in the winter, and I know Roadtrek has end of year rebates.

RE: Roadside Assistance

AAA's RV Plus is not nation wide. There are states that do not offer their RV Plus program, and if you break down in one of them you may find it difficult to get a tow, and you will have to pay for the service/tow upfront, and then hope fo get a refund.

RE: Sprinter Diesel - Propane Generator

Diesel's too big to fit? I'm not so sure of that. But I am sure that there is a large cost difference, with the diesel engine being more expensive than a propane engine.
It's too big to fit in the Roadtrek Sprinter, which is what the op is asking about, plus I think it weighs about twice as much. So in a Class B that doesn't have a lot of CCC's it's not very practical.

RE: Sprinter Diesel - Propane Generator

Diesel generators are too big to fit, no easy fuel supply for a gas generator, so that leaves propane.

Zagg Folio for IPad 2

Got mine today, and so far I give it 5 Stars. The key board feels like a regular key board, and is by far the best one I have used. The Bluetooth connection for the keyboard works perfect, and has IPad 2 shortcuts at the top.
There were some problems with an earlier version not staying locked, but that has been addressed in the newer version.
I added the Docs To Go, app and now I need to sell my Netbook, because this setup blows it out of the water.
I got the orange, with the silver keypad. :C
