I have had over 2' before with no problems. 1 thing I do is almost drop the hitch to the ground and put the stablizers down for 2 things #1 to make it tougher to steal you will have to do some work rather than grab and go and #2 in the spring for the water to run off easier

Dunno if it works for you I did the same except i ran the speaker wire from the back of the stereo behind the fridge (there where on the same wall) and out the fridge access grill on the side of the camper just put a plug on the end and i have marine speakers that I plug into and set them outside usually on a table against the trailer on on top of the tires. The only hole i drilled was inside the cabinet to go to the back of the fridge ....the other option was the come out the same hole where the light is and put a plug on the wire there except i would have to stand on something to plug it in.
