RE: Battery light on Saturn Vue

When DH puts the volt meter on the battery it reads 12.4 before we start it. After it starts it reads 14.35. Doesn't that show that the alternator is charging?

Battery light on Saturn Vue

The dash battery light keeps coming on. DH checked the voltage before and after starting and it read low so we replaced the battery. The light still comes on, but the check meter reads fine. Has anyone else had this problem. Everything runs and works fine. The light is annoying.

RE: replacement of the kitchen sink and faucet

We put a residential faucet on our kitchen sink and everything hooked up real easy. Make sure you check underneath the counter top to see how much room you have for a bigger sink.

RE: SHORT QUEEN BED

We use regular sheets. Just tuck the extra length under the end of the mattress and it stays.

RE: A look in the mirror the way RVers are sometimes viewed...

Our food is killing us. Ever since they started putting high fructose corn syrup in everything, people started getting fat and many more people are diabetic. Fat people say they can't exercize, well lose some weight then you can. You don't have to starve yourself just eat real food.... Fruit, veggies and chicken or fish and not too much meat. Lay off anything white. No packaged processed junk. Not had enough to eat? More fresh fruit. Feel better? I do! :)

RE: $3 million luxury camper is hilarious

I saw this on Yahoo and it showed the door open. Toward the back of the side window the door opens down with about 4 attached steps, kind of like a space ship...weird. The inside is big but there is nothing in it...Storage?

RE: Propane Smell while driving

You said you were driving with your ceiling vent open. Your black tank vent may be near by and while you are driving the wind is pulling the tank odor into your ceiling vent and past your nose out the open window. Close your windows and vent and see if the odor is gone.

I won't be there, where ever that is. :) From the hints I guess it must be in Saudia Arabia?

RE: Winter Travel Ohio to Florida

We go to Florida right after Christmas. We always take I-65 to avoid the hills on I 75. They are not fun if it is snowy. We stop in Destin on the way down. Not warm enough to stay. December may not be too bad. Feb.it is usually pretty cool. Not warm enough until you get to Orlando or so.

RE: black tank deoderant

Good old soapy water. I use the cheapest liquid detergent I can find, put in a capful with several gallons of water and a capful of Calgon water softener after draining tanks and Voila! No odor! Been using it for years.

RE: Recourse against power co tree trimmers?

They did that to my neices yard. It wasn't for trees on her property, but made it easy for the trimmers. They left an awful mess. Her complaints fell on deaf ears, so next time, no way.

RE: Thousand Trails / ROD break up

We use our ROD parks alot and are upset that they are seperating from TT. That is why we joined TT because all the parks in ROD an RPI that we could use. I hope something makes them go back together again.
ROD told me they are no longer together because TT is letting in the general public and ROD is for members only. Maybe someone can make TT wake up.

RE: Traveling with plants

I had a beautiful climbing flowering plant that I took to Florida with us one year. We put it in the shower while traveling and it worked great. We put it on the patio table and it looked beautiful until one morning I woke up to a big mess. The squirrels had chewed it up and wrecked the planter...so much for plants.
Hope you have better luck.
